Around SBN: The Ten Worst Swings Of The 2011 Season

EDSBSGPS: WHERE WE AT, WEEK 12

The weekend's agenda:

ORSON (ATL):
Notre Dame vs. Navy
Ohio State @ Illinois
Georgia @ Auburn
Texas @ Kansas
South Carolina @ Florida
Mississippi State @ Alabama
Boston College @ Florida State

HOLLY (L.A.):
Notre Dame vs. Navy
Northwestern @ Michigan
Duke @ Clemson
Georgia @ Auburn
Texas @ Kansas
South Carolina @ Florida
USC @ Stanford

DAME JUDI DENCH AS M
Hovering in an undisclosed location over the North Atlantic, and wondering if you'd mind not killing every available chance for a Rose Bowl while you're at it?

It'd be a pretty cold person who wanted to watch Ohio State-Illinois. The high for Saturday is only 37 degrees, and the forecast calls for sleet.

Leave your plans below for all your blog groupies to fawn over. Cincy-Loovll kicks off at 8:00, and another glorious weekend of Most Favored Sport ensues. There aren't that many left, so treasure even the paltriest of games.

I look forward to seeing USC make most glorious revenge on Stanford for last year’s upset. In other words, a 19 – 6 “shootout”, here we come.

As long as we hold Florida below 40, I’ll be happy. (BTW, a line of 23 is just ridiculous, but that’s beside the point…)

Gen. Stoopnagle (ATH):

Flipping ’tween Navy v. ND & tOSU @ Illinois until…

GEORGIA @ AUBURN
…with Texas @ KU on the little screen

UNC @ Maryland & S. Carolina @ UF
…with an eye on the Wake @ NC St score

AZ @ The O
Miss St @ Bamer
Vandy @ UK
UCLA @ Udub for a nitecap

by Gen. Stoopnagle on Nov 14, 2008 7:24 PM EST reply actions

Will scout Vandy @ UK this weekend to see if any standouts from the Vols thrashing of Hargrave Military Academy can be of use for the Phil Phulmer Pharewell (Ph)tour.

As usual, golf in the morning weather permitting. Then I can hold my breath for 3 hours while tOSU plays the Fighting Redacteds. After last year, watching Juice Williams run and throw like Vince Young, this game worries me. Couple that with the extra rest the Redacteds got during a game the slept thru last week. Plus we have Michigan to pound on next week. Did I mention is could be windy with sleet? I predict a big dose of Beanie, with a change of pace from Pryor.

Of course there will also be look-ins on Pear Bryant vs. The United States of America Navy. If the weather is as windy as predicted, Navy could win and it would not be an upset.

I will be watching every other game, paying close attention to USCe-UF, Kansas-Texas, Cal-Oregon State, USCw-Stanford and Miss St-Alabama.

This season seems like it went by fast. Its already rivalry week next week!

DEAR GOD, MAKE IT STOP!!!

Rock Rapids, IA (judging high school Mock Trial). Then drive home (maybe inebriated, but the cows don’t mind) to Sioux City to catch Saban’s Revenge Tour Part III. Hit a blunt, drink some Lowenbrau, email exes to see on viability of fellatio and pass out.

And I think Der Schatten wins!!!!

Wake up late, Fifth Earl or Raging Burrito for lunch. Pound remainder of Dos X. I’m going to nervously sit in front of the TV so I can witness the Visor pull something out of his ass, hopefully a tactical nuke. I swear to God I won’t be surprised if we lose to Him, but damned if I won’t still be upset about it.

Rest of the slate for this weekend is kinda meh,,,, So I’ll proceed to get hammered and finish my thesis.

ALABAMA DELENDA EST!!!!!!

by BurritoBrosShits on Nov 14, 2008 9:21 PM EST reply actions

At HQ Control here in the Metroplex. As always, chock full of the hotness in key precincts.

The main events:

Troy @ LSU – The Hurricane Gustav Make-Up Game and Homecoming all rolled into one.

Cocks @ Florida – I like and appreciate the reverence that Gator fans show towards their legendary former coach and fellow Alumnus, even though they want his team to lose badly.

The undercard is below.

Morning Session:

Tex-ass @ Kansas
Indiana @ Joe Pa – Charissa Thompson, going back to being blonde was the call of the year, sugar.
tOSU @ [NAME REDACTED]
UGA @ Auburn

Afternoon Session:

UNC @ Maryland – Will the tall sexy Canadian, Stacey Dales, wear her Foster Grants for almost the entire game again?
WF @ NC State
Potato Bowl (Boise State @ Idaho) – This game is best enjoyed with Chick-Fil-A Waffle Fries.

Night Session:

Croominator @ ’Bama
Wind Turbines @ Intramurals

On The Menu: Chick-Fil-A, as hinted above, washed down with Heineken.

I’ll watch Georgia-Auburn, hoping that Georgia opens up a 50-gallon-drum of whoopass on Tommy Tubberville. Then a drive to Tuscaloosa to take in the game-day atomosphere and hopefully witness a thorough thrashing of Mississippi State.

Wishes granted. You’re welcome.

A hefty dose of pedialyte before coffee, followed by copious quantities of nearly world famous Bloody Marys which will get me to the parking lot. After that, various adjustments and even more copious quantities of BL Lime. Then, watch the Uof KY kick Vanderbilt and secure AT LEAST The Peach Bowl bid. Sounds like a plan to me.

I’ll be sitting in the fourth row for the sleetfest in Champaign. I’ve had worse.

by SpartanDan on Nov 15, 2008 1:33 AM EST reply actions

i’ll be happy my wife is working tomorrow… but seriously folks…

bloody marys and early big ten freezing rain madness if i wake up on time (dont get me wrong, i hate the big ten and all but freezing rain and shit, thats football weather)

then watching georgia pound west georgia’s ass like a prison bitch. then watchin/hoping South Carolina covers da spread and injures someone important vs/for the gators

followed by the main course of dog meat and cowbell

with some pac 10 bullshit to wash it all down…

then a friends party for some PPV wrastlin (they dont like it when i call it wrastlin, but the sweet science it aint.)

I’ll be trying to find a sports bar in Honolulu that carries FS-Arizona, so I can watch the Ducks wear all-black uniforms while they play the Arizona Mildcats.

That’s a taller order than you might think. People around here aren’t exactly motivated, football-wise. You may have noticed that last year.

I’ll be at Cobo Hall in Detroit, celebrating my oldest daughter Kori’s 18th birthday, while at my youngest daughter Kacie’s first cheerleading competition of the season. Checking out massive amounts of MiLFs, trying not to let my mind wander where it shouldn’t about some that I KNOW are too young (but dressed WAY TOO SLUTTY), and figuring a way out so I can get to a TV before kick-off in Gainesville.

by Mich-Placed Gator on Nov 15, 2008 7:51 AM EST reply actions

Off to campus in a few minutes for tailgating, then to the Swamp at 3:30 for my last home game as a student (I have to miss the Citadel game—the second home game I’ll miss in 7 years here).

End of an era bitches. Alcohol will be served.

I have no freaking clue what (any?) decent games are on at 8—I’ll try to watch the least shitty.

by TJ on Nov 15, 2008 8:11 AM EST reply actions

Watching Clemson and praying for a victory, then off to campus tailgating and watching Sakerlina get their asses beat and fail to answer the Tebow question again, then watchin LSU walk over Troy.

getting ready for a football open house with the Gators/Gamescocks as the main event. The fare will be boiled peanuts, smoked mullet, conch fritters, and plenty of hot sauce. Betting will be heavy on the over/under of visor throws.

by Raycom Roy on Nov 15, 2008 9:24 AM EST reply actions

First trying to cure a hangover that would make John Daly blush. Then off to the local Taco Mac to watch the ol ball coach throw his visor many many times

@19….boiled peanuts and smoked mullet? ….FUCK

I’m moving “back home”, damn it

I will perform the auto-frontal labotomy that is grading Intro exams, then off to watch the OBC vs. Pope Meyer on big outdoor screen set-up at the Crystal River Stone Crab Claw Fest.

mmmm….buttery!

Sneaking in looks at the games while at work from 9:30 – 6:30 Pacific.

Stupid California and its fires means I work overtime, but at least I have a wall of TVs to make up for it.
