VT went from having so-so offenses to triple-digit-ranked offenses in 2006. VT hired a new QB coach, WR coach, and OL coach in the offseason prior to 2006. HMMMMMMMMM.

I don’t think Gill would be a candidate for Clemson, but there are several openings and I haven’t heard his name at all. The only thing I can think of is that Syracuse already has him wrapped up or something to make the move down the road.

Otherwise, I don’t get how a guy who has freaking Buffalo winning isn’t getting any attention when Brian Kelly’s name has popped up for at least UT. I think it’d be a lot less expensive to lure a guy out of a non-BCS league than from a weaker BCS league. But what the hell do I know?

No, the ultimate for Tennessee will come when Kentucky visits. UK has not beat Tennessee in TWENTY-FIVE STRAIGHT YEARS. Not once. Never. Having that streak snapped at Neyland to send Fulmer out on a losing note will be the low point from which UT can only rise.

UK will have more emotion, etc. than UT during that game, even though it’ll be Fulmer’s swan song. And I predict (as a UK hater) the Cats will win handily.

The interview with Muschamp does not occur until after the A&M game, regardless of what that Augusta TV station reported, last night. He and Mack agree that it is in everyone’s best interests if they wait until the end of the regular season.

Until then, we are just killing time, losing to Duke on Sat and beating UVa and SCar…

Turner Gill will be a candidate somewhere very soon. Had Pelini not gone to Nebraska he’d probably be there already. Give him another year or so at Buffalo tops.

I’m not sure how well he’d fit at Clemson with that offense and that we beat his Nebraska team in 1982 Orange Bowl for the TItle.

I think the flight tracker other Clemson fans are looking at is a red herring. Phillips will be smart enough now to not use the University plane. Today its going to Louisville but we know Foster is interviewing. Why they’d meet Foster in Louisville is beyond me.

They met Kiffin in Detroit, which makes you wonder about the Lions.

Texas has a bye after this weekend, I’m expecting us to interview Muschamp then.

It is a testament to the healing powers of Saban that I, a die-hard Bama fan, who lived for several years with a burning hatred for Fulmer, who I referred to as “Fatlock” because of his propensity for seeking out law breaking everywhere but in his own backyard, was a tiny bit sad to see this once powerful villain, end his coaching career on such a pitiful note.

We�ve won three of the last four. I would have liked for this to go on, but unfortunately the era of Saban kicking the crap of Fulmer has ended, all too soon.

That being said, the thought that Vandy could break their streak during Fulmer�s final season does warm my heart.

Go Commodores!

FWIW-

Clempson, do the right thing and hire Danny with Venable as his DC for a year or two. Danny would sure as hell whip the players into line (running off 15-20 pussies in the process), placate 90% of IPTAY and fill the stands. Then let Venable have the reins.
