im watching the hopeful replication of last year’s offensive orgy that was WVU against UConn

Who decided it was a good idea to give Corso guns again after that bad shot at the Cotton Bowl?

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 12:04 PM EDT reply actions

Coach Knight really likes to hear his own voice. I do enjoy the celebrity cameos though.

by Brian on Nov 1, 2008 12:06 PM EDT reply actions

STN – I was thinking the same thing. Corso + live firearms = a lawsuit waiting to happen.

by Studley on Nov 1, 2008 12:09 PM EDT reply actions

Psh, that title line was from Manos: The Hands of Fate.

by I'm A Lasagna Hog on Nov 1, 2008 12:11 PM EDT reply actions

Oh, you mean the line that says “Manos: The Hands of Fate was filmed on location in a vacant lot?” Yeah, I missed that. My sincere apologies.

(Or I couldn’t find an image of that title card on Google hungover at 11:30 AM, take your pick.)

Kafka just threw a TD pass for Northwestern. At that moment, an unending stream of traffic crossed over the bridge. At least for Northwestern fans.

by Studley on Nov 1, 2008 12:18 PM EDT reply actions

God, the Metrodome is so shitty that even Pasch and Ware look like they’re in a hovel when they’re on camera.

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 12:18 PM EDT reply actions

Ugh…too much ACC and Big Ten on here…Canes-Hoos on HD, NW-Minny on SD… 3:30 can’t get here soon enough.

If anyone would like some offense, K-State/KU is on Fox Sports.

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 12:47 PM EDT reply actions

How dumb must you be to run a reverse on a kick-off? Way to go, K-State.

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 12:51 PM EDT reply actions

Resolved: Every game on TV right now is awful and everyone should retreat to a flat surface for a pre-Cocktail Party nap.

by Holly on Nov 1, 2008 1:43 PM EDT reply actions

It’s cute when Michigan State pretends like they are going to give the ball to someone other than Ringer.

by ChasingMizzou on Nov 1, 2008 1:53 PM EDT reply actions

Holly – motion seconded and approved.

(zzzzzzzzzzz)

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 2:09 PM EDT reply actions

Going to do some leaf blowing before the GT F$U game…exceptionally boring 12:00 slate of games.

by Brian on Nov 1, 2008 2:17 PM EDT reply actions

Wakey wakey, watch punt fakey!

Tulsa @ ARK in motion. Rodents 80 yards, Malzones -15 so far.

by BadgerMan on Nov 1, 2008 2:22 PM EDT reply actions

The best football on so far this AM is on the Fox Soccer Channel.

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 2:25 PM EDT reply actions

STN at 17,
Spot on. Liverpool, bitches, Liverpool. This is our year (like no one’s heard that in the last 20 years or so).

by Never Leave College on Nov 1, 2008 2:30 PM EDT reply actions

Well, at least WFVU has finally shown up today.

by Graysnail on Nov 1, 2008 2:37 PM EDT reply actions

And Tulsa finally hits its first bomb and are threatening…

by Jerkwheat on Nov 1, 2008 2:47 PM EDT reply actions

’nother executive decision: Putting up a new open thread for the Cocktail Party in 20 or so because this one is clearly cursed with boring football.

by Holly on Nov 1, 2008 3:09 PM EDT reply actions

Northwestern with a pick 6 with 12 seconds to play to take the lead 24-17. Also, nobody at Michigan or Purdue can play a lick of defense.

by Harris on Nov 1, 2008 3:11 PM EDT reply actions

No sooner does Holly post that than Northwestern pulls a crazy pick-six out of their ass to beat Minnesota.

by JD on Nov 1, 2008 3:11 PM EDT reply actions

Hah, back from leaf blowing and Miami UVA score is the same. Excellent.

by Brian on Nov 1, 2008 3:14 PM EDT reply actions

I HAVE POWERS

by Holly on Nov 1, 2008 3:15 PM EDT reply actions

Whatchoo talkin bout Tom Skerritt?

Big10+1 teams averaging over 30 points today. Happy Halloween!

by BadgerMan on Nov 1, 2008 3:18 PM EDT reply actions

Oh, man, I forgot about the Tom Skerritt thing.

by Holly on Nov 1, 2008 3:20 PM EDT reply actions

Someone just created a scoring orgy.

Please post that the Badgers are cursed holding a lead at the end of games this year.

by BadgerMan on Nov 1, 2008 3:21 PM EDT reply actions

Yea, and even Miami UVA is getting interesting late.

by Brian on Nov 1, 2008 3:22 PM EDT reply actions

@18 – unfortunately Jamie Carragher’s head got in the fucking way. Cannot believe we’re about to draw bottom-feeding Spurs….stupid bad shots.

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 3:23 PM EDT reply actions

Wisconsin’s just doing this to piss me off. I was high on them ALL YEAR and kept looking like an idiot, and as soon as I abandon them in the picks (above the jump, no less), they bring it out.

In other news, thread’s up. Go on, now.

by Holly on Nov 1, 2008 3:26 PM EDT reply actions

Oooooh, Wisky’s gonna blow it again….

by Signal to Noise on Nov 1, 2008 3:28 PM EDT reply actions

And BB has to call a fricking TO to save MSt’s ass on the FG attempt… I don’t care if they miss the FG and Wisc wins the game. BB has to be fired at the end of this season.

by BadgerMan on Nov 1, 2008 3:31 PM EDT reply actions

How the fuck did we win that game? We got outrushed by about 250 yards, our receivers dropped probably a dozen passes … that should never happen. (Not that I’m complaining, mind you. It’s nice to have my team actually win one late instead of going into the fetal position. But that was … improbable.)

Bielema calling timeout there was absolutely batshit crazy. If you want to get the ball back, call it right away. Don’t wait until the FG team is out there running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Wasting the second TO on top of that … well, I guess once you’re down to 12 seconds it no longer matters, because you don’t have time for multiple plays after the kickoff. (And does he remember what happened the last time MSU had to run a FG team out with the clock running in an end-of-half situation?)
