Ron Paul: Orbiting the Cocktail Party in his trusty dirigible nouveau, and wondering who, exactly, is PAYING for all these cocktails? THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DESERVE THE TRUTH. And a return to the gold standard. This message approved by Ron Paul, who thinks you should have to pay for air.
And you, sirs? Agendas, empty threats from actual Ron Paul voters (I know you exist), and preliminary smack talk below. Happy Halloween.

Sure they still exist. But do they still actually admit it?
The Ron Paul Hindenburg met North Jersey a looong time ago.

Red Stick for the annual Father/Son out-of-conference LSU vs. Nuns from St. Mary’s Orphanage bonding experience. My son’s 3, and he’s the only one I can sucker into going to the LSU vs Tulane game at Tiger Stadium. Does that make me a bad parent? At least I didn’t subject him to the beatdown last week…
Prior to that we’ll be watching the coke orgy via the old RCA with the $6.99 rabbit ears, and grilling up one of god’s critters or another…

At HQ Control here in the Metroplex. Light schedule, but as always, chock full of the hotness in key precincts.
The main events:
WLOCP (UGA @ Florida) – As only Uncles Verne and Gary can bring it to us.
The Great Louisiana Money Grab (Tulane @ LSU) – With any luck, Tulane fans will once again be pushing LSU fans in wheelbarrows down Magazine Street in NOLA and in Garyville on Sunday for yet another year, and the Tiger Rag will stay in BTR where it rightfully belongs.
On the menu: Multiple varietals of Sushi, washed down with Russian Standard Platinum Vodka (the real deal).
The undercard is below.
Morning Session:
Wisky @ Mich. St.
Michigan @ Purdue
Auburn @ Giggity
Afternoon Session:
Sterger @ GT
Iowa State @ Wind Turbines
Clemson @ BC
Night Session:
Vols @ Cocks
Texas @ TT
Nebraska @ Oklahoma
One more thing: Go Knoxville Catholic. And godspeed to Scott County.

Still drinking away the nightmare of last week. Sold my Cal-Oregon seats to buy more booze. Not even the sweet tears of Tennessee fans, which are like champagne poured out of bottles with naked women on them, can assuage my agony.

I've Got a Herd on says:
Completely off topic, but I was watching CNN late last night and heard Paul Begala advise John McCain that rather than wheeling out Joe the Plumber, he should be campaigning with real American heroes such as Orson Swindle.
For about half a second, two thoughts raced through my brain: a) Why does Paul Begala read college football blogs? and b) Who would consider a college football blogger to be an American hero?
Then I immediately remembered the politician from which the moniker is derived…and then forgot again because it’s a lot funnier that way.
As for tomorrow, the only game I’ll be keeping an eye on beside the two mega-showdowns is Tulsa/Arkansas.

I’ll be kicked back on the couch at my in-laws watching Tommy Tuberville, hereafter referred to as “Traitor we still don’t forgive, even though in retrospect we could have built him that indoor practice facility sooner,” vs. Houston Nutt, hereafter referred to as “Giggity.” Afterwards I’ll watch WLOCP…don’t really have a dog in the hunt, but I’ll go with Georgia because Lewis Grizzard and Catfish would have wanted it that way.
Then I’ll watch videos like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO9daN5fH8M and wonder why they get Will Ferrell and we get Shepard Smith.
Then I’ll watch SNL solely for musical guest David Cook and pass out sometime during Weekend Update.
Drink of choice? Ha, did you hear, I’m at the IN-LAWS. Diet Cherry Cokes, pretty much all day, and any cussin’ will be under my breath.

I must say, this weekend offers filet mignon matchups galore… just like watching the first Godzilla vs King Kong you may not have a strong feeling who will be the ultimate winner, but you know large objects will be thrown around, the landscape will be obliterated and likely one opponent will appear victorious before the other arises from certain death to crush the overly confident monster
Here’s to out illustrious leader… Orson …. I don’t know if FLA will win, but lord knows the entertainment coming from that location will be intense
my last thought is about our lovely Ms HRA… having to resort to vague hints as to her exact location to prevent the assembled hordes of her maniacal worshippers from littering the landscape… one can only imagine the barricades around her apartment in SoCal keeping the paparazzi and loonies back when she goes out for groceries…. don’t forget to wear those undies when exiting that Lamborghini young lady…. this is the price you must pay for your fame
