LOUISIANA DOES FOOTBALL BETTING HARDCORE

Yes. Um...Louisiana. The spiciest state.

After reading that, console yourself with a dog in a costume.

Never mind what you just read. Look at the cute widdle dog in his costume! From Cute Overload, of course.

BBS,

It’s the Korean equivalent.

Biggus: As a Korean-American I should have seen that coming. Huzzah.

Can’t we all just get along? I mean, seriously. Take me for example…I really couldn’t care less that there are bits of flotsam in the St. John’s with more sense than most of Florida’s fanbase, or that they think a few years of dominance means that their pathetic program is somehow a traditional power. Seriously, I look past all that and see a fellow human being, mental midget though he or she be.

(HATE ON!)

“Other employees watched him make it…and then they all laughed when Drummer saw it.”

Something tells me that the employer doesn’t routinely conduct sensitivity classes.

Seriously, what was going through White Reggie’s mind when he was tying that noose? You gotta be a dumb sumbitch to do something like that.

This from the AJC:

“It was tough,” Tebow said. “It’s still [tough]. Even today, you still have hurt feelings about it.

He’s a pansy. If it’s not an easy win, he’ll fold like a dessicated foreskin.

Ok, you can cease with any non Florida-Georgia related posts now. We’re officially on the downhill side of hate week.

“witnessed the accused making the noose earlier in the morning.”

How long does it take one to make a noose, anyway? I was never in scouts, so I’m not really good at tying things other than shoelaces and the occasional necktie.
Ole Miss fan, you can probably answer that one for me, right?

Next thing you know they’re going to outlaw cross burning and counting ‘em as whole people. Hell, they’ll probably make one president. That’s when we know the terrorists won.

OhioDawg,

Would a pansy cry at a press conference following a loss to Ole Miss? It takes a real man to be that in touch with his emotions. Real men like Alan Alda and Ed Beagley Jr.

Sean @ #5…the proper and customarily used spelling is “St. Johns”… it has no apostrophe. Thanks.

by sb on Oct 29, 2008 2:25 PM EDT reply actions

I read that as “The speciest state”, which, while not a word, is probably also true.

Outstanding.

by DrB on Oct 29, 2008 2:29 PM EDT reply actions

sb,

Wikipedia (AKA common source of all knowledge and future cerebral cortex of SkyNet) says:

“St. Johns River (officially Saint Johns River, but commonly spelled St. John’s River)”

Ass.

Shameful.

by Anonymous IV on Oct 29, 2008 2:36 PM EDT reply actions

Sean @ #18…note the primary reference term indicated in your response had no apostrophe…regardless, I was simply trying to educate, not condemn, but take it as you wish.

Besides, being a denizen of the state with canine affiliations, I am sure you understand why said river flows north… as for the remaining expected and customary dawg fodder…whatever.

by sb on Oct 29, 2008 3:08 PM EDT reply actions

The guy should be canned, but I’m afraid the law isn’t quite constitutional. Assholery is still speech, and unless you can connect up the noose to some sort of “terroristic threat” or tortured definition of assault, I’m afraid it’s unconstitutional to punish it. Employers, however, (unless they’re the State) can punish assholery all day long, and should.

by chris on Oct 29, 2008 3:10 PM EDT reply actions

As a living resident of St, Johns county and a volunteer riverkeeper of the St. Johns River, I think I know its spelled St. Johns. When we’re done with y’all you can just dump your bodies in said river and float your damn selves back to your shit-stained state.

@12 – I’m with you. That looked like a high quality noose. At least from what I’ve seen in the movies. I wouldn’t know where to start if I was to try to tie one.

I’m waiting to see which Herschel Walker comes to Jacksonville.

by BurritoBrosShits on Oct 29, 2008 3:21 PM EDT reply actions

Biggus – you make a good point. Don’t want to give Tim T-bag too much credit.

  1. - Its (no apostrophe…doesn’t it just hurt) hard to imagine that perfect grammar is a requirement at a blog where the lead image is a picture of a dog in a Halloween costume.

by OhioDawg on Oct 29, 2008 3:25 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah, we coonasses learn to get our bigotry and racism on early in life. I learned to tie a noose roughly around the same time I learned to tie my shoes. And that’s a sad commentary on the state of things in my state. Thankfully, maturity and education have turned most of us around.

What’s good is that asshats like the white Reggie are really in the minority. Unfortunately, asshats like myself that actually take the time to get to know someone before hating them don’t make for good news reports.

FWIW, the anti-noose law came about in an effort to preventing another “Jena 6” type event/circus. Looks like it didn’t work so well…

by DrBundy on Oct 29, 2008 3:33 PM EDT reply actions

Ohio @ #26…there is no its or it’s in my entry at #20…or am I the beneficiary of a drive by grammar lesson? And, yes…it is a remarkable blog indeed that can inspire such diverse analysis with a dog being eaten by a Gator.

By the way, do you know why the St. Johns River flows north?

Burrito @ #22…I live in St. Johns County also…gotta keep these dawgs chained up or they’ll start using our lawns as toilets…

by sb on Oct 29, 2008 3:42 PM EDT reply actions

Sean @ #5: Ahh yes, the old “you were nothing before 1990” burn… this should join “jorts” and “iroc” as one of the go-to Gator insults of choice for you dog fans. One of the more inane and ridiculous arps I hear from you and one of the reasons why Georgia tops my firehatebloodstabbing list, other than the fact I have to live side-by-side with you in Atlanta.

Unfortunately, that particular arp doesn’t mean anything anymore because almost all Gator fans have a winning record over Georgia in their lifetime, particularly the youngish ones who were on the winning side of this rivalry all four years of school (like: me).

And even though we just started “dominating” the SEC only in the last 20 years or so (notwithstanding our SEC Championship in 1984 that was taken away… and the one in 1990) and our time as a traditional power is recent (and yes, I don’t think there’s any denying it, we are indeed a ‘power’ now) — we were still relevant enough way back when to beat you pretty regularly. In fact, we have a winning record over you going back about 70 years or so (thanks, Saurian Sagacity).

It’s just too bad you haven’t won anything of national significance that would reinforce your own belief that Georgia is in fact, (still?) a traditional power since ohhh 1980. Welcome back though, your absence as anything at all, let alone a power, in the SEC East and the SEC in general during the 90s and early 00s sure helped keep you in the running in that mythical race to “football tradition powerhousiness” I’m sure.

(YAY MORE HATE)

Dawgaddict @ 10 – you mean the Michoud Assembly Facility? Because there weren’t any nooses there this morning.

As for the noose-maker, you can tell he didn’t go to the University of Kentucky.

by DC Trojan on Oct 29, 2008 4:58 PM EDT reply actions

@ DC #30 -

If you know Michoud, you know the area. From here? Visiting? Or stationed here for bit?

by DrBundy on Oct 29, 2008 5:09 PM EDT reply actions

You could hang a man at the Michoud exit and he may not be found for months.

What a surprise… once again “The Sportsman’s Paradise” tries to one up my Magnolia State by enacting inane legislature in response to the Civil Rights struggle that we all know earned the most scorn and disapproval for a group of people who certainly weren’t LSU fans.

Dr Bundy @ 30 – I was there for a meeting yesterday with a client. First time in NOLA, actually, but I expect to be going back over the next few months.

Last Dragon @ 31 – no shit, I didn’t realize how quickly the city stopped and the back of beyond begins.

by DC Trojan on Oct 30, 2008 11:33 AM EDT reply actions

@DC – Welcome to hell/greatest city on earth. You know the whole Jungian “duality of man” debate? We live it here every day. Next time you’re in the area, let me know, and I’ll give you the local’s guide to fun in the city.
