Inside the Beltway (latte sippers in the house say what!)
USC – Arizona, for sure. Penn State – tOSU to see who’s coming to Pasadena from the Big Televen. Huskies bowing down to Notre Dame, mostly out of morbid curiosity.

I am struggling to reconcile Bama’s #2 ranking NATIONALLY with a 5 point spread. Something has to give. Upset? Blowout? I’m laughing either way. Cause if it’s an upset, how funny is it that Bama is THAT over-rated? And if it’s a blowout that’s okay, too.

At HQ Control here in the Metroplex. Not as ambitious a schedule as normal, but chock full of the hotness in key precincts, nonetheless.
The main event:
Chick-Fil-A Bowl Play-In Game (UGA @ LSU) – Loser probably gets the Georgia Dome and all the Waffle Fries they want, which isn’t too bad of a thing considering they could be in Shreveport instead.
The undercard is below.
Morning Session:
TT @ Kansas
Oklahoma @ Kansas State
BC @ UNC
Northwestern @ Indiana (Charissa Thompson is much sexier as a blonde, IMHO)
Kentucky @ Florida
Afternoon Session:
UVA @ GT
Wind Turbines @ Texas
Michigan State @ Michigan
Punt To Win @ Cal
Night Session:
Intramurals @ Mizzou
MTSU @ Croominator
Giggity Bowl (Ole Miss @ Arky)
Joe Pa @ tOSU
Bama @ Vols
Ty Willingham Bowl (Notre Dame @ Dawgs)
Southern Cal @ Arizona
Go Knoxville Catholic (good little Catholic boy here, gotta represent).

Sitting in my Apartment in the ATLizzle:
Kentucky @ Florida: Why not start the day drunk and upset? I know I will.
I’m a MAN!! I’m FORTY!! @ Texas: Might actually be a halfway decent game.
Dawgs @ the Corn Dog Palace: Rooting for a tie. A TIE!!
Bear Bryant is Gone, Get Over It @ Phil Fulmer is Fat: Interesting to see how UT will call offensive plays without Cody in the middle. I’m expecting punts.
Really Old Man @ #9 THE OSU: Do I really want tOSU to win? Is there anyway Penn State can lose and OSU not win?

Noon: Texas Tech at Kansas
3:30: Oklahoma State at Texas/Georgia at LSU
8:00: Penn State at Ohio State/Tampa Bay Rays at Philadelphia Phillies (Sorry, I’m a life-long Philadelphian)
11:30ish: Second half of USC at Arizona

All times Central…
1130 – Sooners at K State, with an eye on TT-Kansas for sheer offensive explosiveness
230 – channel flipping between Pokes v Horns (go Pokes) and Georgia-LSU
645-1000ish eplileptic seizure flipping between Bama-Vols, Buckeyes-Nitaly Lions and Notre Dame-Washington, with the sole purpose of the latter to root for UDub to upset the FishEaters.
afterwards – USC – Arizona

In Lafayette, LA, at the Blackpot Music Festival, eating all the delicious concoctions from the cookoff — meats you don’t want to know about, heavily spiced — drinking my brains out, and getting down to Cajun music. The bands are probably going to take a break during the LSU game, though.
And what Vandy J said about the iPhone — me, too.

I’m actually going to Gainesvegas for the Homecoming festivus. My girlfriend got the weekend off work, so this is likely the only game we’re able to attend together all season.

Leaving 3 hours before dawn to get to Red Stick, even though it’s only an hour away. Cooking breakfast and lunch on campus for anywhere from 4 to 45 people, whilst enjoying a cocktail or three. The teevee will be on whatever station the $6.99 Wally World rabbit ears will pick up, likely the Jefferson Pilot/Raycom/Big Ned’s RV Emporium showdown. During the game I’ll be watching the sideline boards for updates, or looking over the shoulder of the guy in front of me with an iPhone for other updates. Ride home will be the post-game radio show, and I’m sure I’ll fall fast asleep watching whatever the hell is on late.

I’ll be in Charleston for the weekend and, being that the Holy City is not my usual stomping ground, I was wondering if any of you worldly lot had any recommendations as to a place to saddle up and watch my Dawgs. I’m staying downtown, so something nearby would be preferable, but other than that fire away. I’m trying to get to know the place (it looks like Charleston is where I’m getting moved next), so something with a little local flavor would be nice. Oh, and also not an LSU bar. Ideas?

On campus in an hour to start tailgating for UF-Kentucky.
Later watching UGA-LSU, tOSU-Penn St, and UCF-Tulsa (not by choice—the brother’s in town from Orlando).

On the schedule: pretty much every 1-A game that’s being shown in this area.
Know what that doesn’t include? Oklahoma State / Texas. Instead, we get …. Virginia Tech / Florida State. I fucking hate the ACC so much; it’s not just that the football is terrible, it’s that it prevents me from watching good football on top of it.

Catching whatever early game I am blessed with before heading over to the North Shore to watch some Big East football humanity (and some serious Wannestache… it’s pretty rainy right now in Pittsburgh). The evening session will consist of whatever bar can provide me the following.
JoePa v. McSweatervest (with sound)
Rays at Phillies
Pens at Rangers
The nightcap will probably consist of drunken bar pool and casually glancing at the TV everytime USC scores.

As a Catholic alum, last night was a great game against Kingston (7-1). Kingston took the opening kickoff and scored, and it remained 7-0 until Catholic scored with 1 minute left in the game, lined up to go for 2 and the win, got a delay-of-game penalty, and still lined up to go for 2, and got it! Catholic wins 8-7 to stay undefeated.

Sorry that I can’t recommend a bar, but the veal sweetbreads at FIG are a culinary delight. Chicken liver pate’ with chilled peaches for an appetizer, will complete the artery clogging experience.

I say, ERRONEOUS. I am almost positive the exact same scene took place in ’05 when Zwick fumbled the game away to Texas. Someone back me up on this….

Housecleaning this morning, surfing through games this afternoon. All my teams play around the same time tonight, so I’m in a pickle:
Option A: try to snag a last-minute ticket and go to MSU-MTSU homecoming game;
Option B: find out which sports bar in town will show Ole Miss and Arkansas, knowing I can’t openly cheer on Ole Miss without feeling awfully uncomfortable; or
Option C: sit my ass at home and watch Bama-TN.
Either way, I’m going to Coldstone Creamery at some point today.
