I was there last night. I did not see any couches ablaze afterward.

But I did have a drunk WVU student, yes, redundant, tell me that my AU sweatshirt was ugly.

We're so bad this year, we can't even chop-block correctly.

But hey, we did score. 3 times. And missed a FG. And saw 2 muffed punts get recovered. And saw the return of brick-handed recievers.

But I saw us run about 10 different plays. Not too bad for week 2 of a midseason change in offensive philosophy. Of course, considering we only have 10, no second half adjustments can be made... Blech.

Maybe we'll have 20 by the Bama game. We can run 10 in the first half and 10 in the second half.

Biggus Rickus re: Career Assistants who Left Their Programs as Smoking Wreckage Once Getting the Big Chair:

The obvious ones who leap to mind are:
Nebraska (Osborne -> Frank Solich)
Miami (Butch Davis -> Larry Coker)

Some more marginal ones:
Michigan State (Saban -> Bobby Williams)
Washington (Don James -> Jim Lambright (probation didn't help any))
Oklahoma (Switzer -> Gary Gibbs (not that Gibbs was bad, just not good enough to beat Texas and Nebraska, plus, you know, mad probation))
Washington State (Mike Price -> Bill Doba)

One waiting in the wings to happen is at Virginia Tech, where Bud Foster's waiting less and less patiently for his shot. Ray Goff doesn't count, because he was a young hotshot assistant, not a Politburo hire.

There are a few who bucked the trend: Neither Moeller nor Lloyd Carr really shat the bed as football coaches at Michigan following Schembechler, and Osborne succeeded Bob Devaney from within his staff. Oh, and Fulmer. He did win as many national titles as Spurrier, after all.

My life and blood team is # 2. I love #1. Auburn sux. Tenn sux. Life is good. I think I'll go buy a lottery ticket in the morning!

Auburn fans can't complain. They got what they wanted (in order chronologically)

1) we need new, exciting guru spread offense OMG Franklin is the SHITZZLE!!!1111 (preseason)

2) Throw on 3 and 2? Let's RUN The ball more!
         (after losing to Vandy)
3) put in Codi Burns!
         (Arkansas game)
4) Fire Franklin! It's his fault!
(after Franklin tried to coach more aggressively)

5) Tubby, promise us you love us and that you're here to stay!!!!! (press conference, glad you're "Healthy" Tubs!)

6) (my favorite) I want our offense to be as good as our defense.
-mission accomplished. Tonight. In West Fucking Virginia

Hey, good news though, Aubie only chopblocked on 1 play tonight, and nobody doubled up!

Can't wait for Finebaum tomorrow!!!!!

Tubby, by sticking by his inept, toxic staff, will have to fall on his sword. Soon. Saban will finish him Sub-Zero style on Nov. 29th.

Honk if you missed a tackle vs WfVU.......

this just in....Noel Devine just scored AGAIN, untouched and from 30 yrds out............

If I was on Auburns defense and had a chance to go pro.....I would go now before my stock dropped like AIG

You're right, just as Tony Franklin = SPREAD MAN WALKING, Tommy Tuberville = DEAD COACH WALKING

@ 46
Congrats on WfVU's win, they deserved it. My WarTigerPlainsmen got outcoached and outplayed. Don't know what will be burnin' hotter, the couches in Morgantown or the ulcer in my gut.
