Hate to say it, but the schedule for Texas looks more legit than either Bama or Penn State. Thier wins are more impressive too.
Dammit, I’m stuck. SEC pride versus having to root for Bama (gargling noises) to get to the BCS and against JoPa whom I have the utmost respect. If it weren’t for thier cupcake special schedule, it would be easy.
Then again, screw Bama. If Auburn was left out of the BCS in ’04, Bama can suck it in ’08.
War Damn Eagle.

Watching Texas in that first half gave me the jitters. They’ll go undefeated. Penn State might do the same. And maybe even.. Bama!? No, it can’t be. I’m all for the conference, but I will never root for them to make it all the way. If there is a God, he will make them lose to a lowly opponent, or in the SEC championship, or wherever. It doesn’t matter! They can’t go undefeated!
Bama will lose to Arkansas State (hahaha I wish) but still make the SEC championship. Now this is where I’m stuck. I can’t decide which is better: Florida stealing their manhood, or if Bama wins and then goes on to get stomped by Texas in the BCS championship? Hmm. I’m so torn.
By the way, I laughed when I heard that Francis (Francis is a more manly version of Terrance) Cody was injured in the game today. But I guess that is the natural order of things when you are a morbidly obese giant with freaky orangish-brown hair that many claim to be a “mountain.” Haha.
I love football.

My new top ten: 1) Texas, 2) Penn State, 3) Alabama, 4) Oklahoma, 5) USC, 6) Oklahoma State, 7) Florida, 8) Georgia, 9) Ohio State, 10) LSU

Hey, “cunt4victory”, FUCK YOU. It doesn’t matter the hate in your heart, you never celebrate an injury to a 18-21 year old kid. Hater your rivals, fight hard, but to laugh at injuries is small-dickish of you. You are exactly the the type of piece of shit that gives fans a bad name. I really hope that somehow, if the government allows you to reproduce and have children, that your kids are born with as yet undiscovered strains of leporsy and retardation. Once again, fuck you, and may your team stay in whatever shit-infested basement it obviously now inhabits as revealed by your pissy little schedenfreud.
Oh yeah, tell your wife I said thanks for Swallowing. It’s cute the way she barks when she gets it doggy style.

What kind of low life individual laughs when anyone gets hurt much less a 18-21 year old kid? You’re a sick person…

Penn State is going to play a real team and get their ass kicked. We all know it’s coming.

wow, the comments are a little more heated gameday night. Number 5’s post really intrigues me. Its clear he or she is an intelligent person by the vocabulary choices; however, the awful spelling belies a mind haunted by alcoholism and hatred. Godspeed good sir.

I’m sure “Francis” would stomp a mud hole in your ass, injured or not. What do you know about being manly?
The SEC and football in general does not need any “fans” like you. You are a sorry piece of shit that knows absolutely nothing about class and has no respect for the competitors in the sport, regardless of what team they represent.
Everyone has a purpose in life, your’s must be to set a bad example for others.

Ranking Missouri in the top 10 was nearly as much of a mistake as ranking Clemson or WVU there. Just a not very good team, quite honestly.
Texas is 100 kinds of assbeat though, holy crap.

Everything that needs to be said (and then some) about a kid getting hurt has been covered. I would much rather see a coach buy it :::looking at Weis :D :::. Anyhow, Penn State and Texas showed me tons tonight. PSU down early came back with a vengeance and Texas just flat out man-raped Mizzou. Alabama where art thou? I am sure we will see you back and soon so let’s all enjoy each week and hope the BCS will eventually break. If they all finish with zeros in the L column, let the BCS eat that pile of shit and we can get our plus 1 hopefully sooner than later.

Penn State fan says next week might be pretty tough at the ’Shoe if PSU plays like it did for the first 20 min. of that game…but I was proud of the way they righted their ship and poured it on at the end.

I’m rooting for OSU to win against Penn State, then go on to get STOMPED my Michigan.
For the love of god, if things keep going the way they are, I think the entire STATE is going to commit suicide…

Alabama and Penn State need to learn how to not look like fools against mediocre to bad teams to be considered in the same light as Texas (and to a lesser extent, OU and Okie St.)
by smallgods on Oct 19, 2008 9:14 AM EDT reply actions
I’m a huge Bama fan, but if Texas runs the gauntlet with the nasty schedule they have, they deserve to be #1, in the championship game, and spotted two touchdowns.
As for the guy who is glad that Cody got hurt, my only hope is that you were alcohol-poisoning drunk when you made those comments. There is no excuse, not even from an Auburn fan.

PUNT4VICTORY:
As someone who has actually played football—in the SEC, let me tell you that players who beat the crap out of one another for 60 minutes (for guys like you to enjoy) have great respect for their opponents. Of course they want to beat the other guy, but they never wish their opponents any permanent harm. It’s the highest form of respect at the highest level of competition.
In light of your assinine statement, it is obvious that you have no concept of this sort of thing. I like to think that people are generally good, and then I read something like your post. Normally I ignore people like you who obviously are at the bottom of the heap as far as humanity goes, and are just looking to cause a stir because you lack the ability to measure up in real life. However, I couldn’t help but respond to you and tell you something you already know—you are a piece of shit.

Texas is moving up to 0.5 in the coaches’ poll today.

I’ve said all along that I expect everyone in the SEC to lose at least two games. Unfortunately, this becoming less likely. However, it’s still possible…
GA will beat FL, but lose to LSU, reminding everyone that football is not transitive.
FL will lose to GA, but be so dominant in its other games that everyone thinks they’re “really” the best team in the SEC
Alabama will lose to Auburn for no logical reason, then lose the SEC title game rematch with GA
LSU will lose to Alabama

I agree, but don’t think Mizzou was THAT over-rated – they’ve had a few key injuries play a part in the last two weeks.
But, I don’t think anyone in the country, let alone the burnt orange nation, thought our Texas team would come together like this…I almost feel bad for Mizzou almost.

I like Alabama less and less. Saban still has some work to do on drilling that team to not let up, and losing Terrence Cody is a body blow. They have to go to Baton Rouge to play LSU and will probably play Florida in the SEC championship, as it stands right now. They’re losing to either one of those teams.
If Penn State wins at OSU next week, they’re going to the MNC game (dependent on Bama losing, obv.) I know they’re Big Televen, but I love watching them. They dominated the second half — should have dominated the whole game — but that was an impressive recovery from a quarter where the team was looking ahead.
Texas is a legit #1 with the nastiest schedule, but if they play defense like they did for the first half, they’ll win out without too much trouble.

I heard an Auburn friend say that he was most sad that T Cody was injured…
he said that the team was not chop blocking anyone this year, but Tubby said they could do it one time, and they were saving it for game 12
almost worked against LSU last yr…
by InsaneCoachPosse on Oct 19, 2008 1:41 PM EDT reply actions
Penn State is going to have to play 100 times better to beat OSU. Their last three victims (Purdue, Wisconsin and Michigan) might be the worst three teams in the conferences. Yes they’ve been good, but Ohio State isn’t giving up more than 20…does Penn State have a defense?
Do they still have to play the Big 12 conference championship game?
I think there is going to be a one-loss SEC team in the national title game against Texas or USC…and i think that team is going to be Georgia.
Did UConn play yesterday? Didn’t notice…
by Edsall is God on Oct 19, 2008 2:08 PM EDT reply actions
Edsall, no, UConn didn’t play.
Some guys stole their uniforms at lost to Rutgers, though.

“Yes theyve been good, but Ohio State isnt giving up more than 20”
Yes, of course, because Ohio State hasn’t given up more than 20 all year. Especially not more than 30 in a game on national television. That would just be crazy.

Penn St. loses 2 of the next 4…OSU and either Iowa or Michigan St.
Ohio State beats Penn St. next week, but loses @ Illinios.
Texas loses at least 1…could be next week against OK St. but I’m thinkin’ @ Texas Tech is more likely.
Alabama loses 1 on their way to being takin’ behind the woodshed in the SEC Championship Game by Florida.
The BCS Championship will host 2 1-loss teams….Florida vs Texas….and there will be 3 other 1-loss teams bitching about not being there.

USC > Penn State. And the Ohio State defense was holding USC in check until the INT return for a touchdown and the OSU offense fell apart. It’ll be a little different at night, in the Horseshoe with an OSU team brimming with confidence after the win this weekend.
Let me just say I would be very, very surprised if Ohio State doesn’t blow Penn State out. It’s just a perfect storm for the Buckeyes.

El Kabong @ 16
Auburn fan here, I agree with you. There’s no reason to wish injury on these kids.
But now if Cody were to end up scoring some Fulmer Cup points resulting in suspension, that wouldn’t be bad….

@ 24
“does Penn State have a defense?”
How does this grab ya?
Rushing defense – #21 in the nation
Pass defense – #11 in the nation
pass efficiency defense – #4 in the nation
Scoring defense – #6 in the nation
Overall defense – #8 in the nation
Let me guess…that’s not nearly good enough because all those stats came against OOC cupcakes and the lousy Big Televen and not in God’s own conference…the ESS EEE SEE.
