FYI, Dabo was a WR at Bama. I would bet Muschamp would rather eat a turd than return to auburn. And ut does have the money to get him. That was a weird statement. However, not as weird as, “they would not throw saban money at him”. Why would they? I think that is reserved for qualified/proven HEAD coaches.

I do not like this coveting of our defensive coordinator. My hope is that Texas enters into an agreement whereby Muschamp is Mack’s guaranteed successor. Texas certainly has the money to keep Muschamp happy in the interim, and it is questionable how much longer Mack would want to stay — particularly if he can go out on top this season or next (when Texas should be even better).

Hope is eternal, and I hope the same is true of Muschamp’s relationship with Texas.

Good thing Tommy flirted with the Arkansas job, it gave him a nice golden parachute.

Here are some people I would look at, I have no idea if Clemson would hire them: 1) Will Muschamp, 2) Brian Kelly, 3) Lane Kiffen, 4) Todd Graham (has Saban-like jumping abilities)

Since Terry Bowden declares himself available for every coaching vacancy, how hilarious would it be if he lobbied for the job his brother just got fired from. I wouldn’t put it past him.

Butch Davis is not an option for Clemson, but he will not be for Auburn or Tennessee, either.

Muschamp, Gary Patterson, maybe Dabo if he wins out, Bobby Johnson, and Jim Grobe. Grobe has told others he has no interest in the job.

I am going to let you in on a little secret about Muschamp. While he would prefer Auburn over Clemson, he will want no part of Tennessee. For starters, Tennessee will not throw Saban money at him, and rightfully so. He can make almost as much, possibly as much, at Clemson and have a much easier row to hoe until Georgia, Auburn, or Texas come calling.

We cannot beat out Auburn for Muschamp, but we can beat out, Tennessee. And, we would be a stepping stone job for him, but give me a couple of ACC titles and I don’t care.

As for SCar fans, Tommy is so pathetic that he went 7-2 versus you. What does that say about you?

What #45 said. Clemson’s legacy in CFB is perpetually overrated. As is their position in the ACC pecking order.

I guess they could stumble onto a coach who turns them into a perennial ACC contenders, but this is Clemson we’re talking about. Their only sustained period of success involved massive amounts of cheating. There are worse things than going 9-4 every year.
