BOWDEN, R.I.P. AT CLEMSON
Tommy Bowden, out at Clemson: film at eleven, etc, but TigerIllustrated is reporting it like it’s done, meaning they must have resolved the issue of his $4 million dollar buyout. Dabo Swinney would be the interim coach in the meantime, and with a name like that, you are always the interim coach, and never the coach.

The fail is up to here, which means I’m fired.
Update: This is, according to Joe Schad, the text Cullen Harper sent him:
I just found out. It’s what he deserves. Dabo Swinney is good man who will do a good job.”
Knives out, Cullen. Knives out! The Tommy Bowden Death Index has been appropriately updated, but damn, damn, damn: this doesn’t seem to be difficult for anyone at Clemson, does it? Also, if you want a particular blogspot address it should be available shortly.

Tommy Bowden could have taken the 2001 Miami Hurricanes to a 4-7 record, and thats being generous..
Nick Saban says he cant take credit for that one, but he will take credit for the next two: Tubbs and Fulmer….We like to call these firings the “Saban Effect”, when one coach gets hired, others get fired….especially across state……but I am still laughing at that fake Nickelback video of “Photograph”…the lyrics are improved and so is the vocal rendition….

No clue what that means for the game this weekend, but maybe Clemson will show signs of life – since it sounds like the players couldn’t stand Tommy anymore.
Either way, it means the ACC gets another coaching upgrade this offseason. This league desperately needed new blood at the HC positions, and has been packing them in. Butch Davis, Paul Johnson and David Cutcliffe were all huge upgrades, and with Tommy Bowden gone we really only have to drop Al Groh to make the house cleaning complete.

Cullen Harper’s diddy didn’t mince words…
“I’d call it karma. I thought it needed to be done. I think anytime a head coach or someone in a leadership position starts to place blame on his coaches and players, it weakens their respect on the team. His past experiences have shown he’s done that.” — Jeff Harper

What truth is proof against all lies

Am I living truth or rank deceiver
Am I the victim or the crime
Am I the victim or the crime
Am I the victim or the crime
Or the crime…”

#6: The term in the ACC is “Grobed”. The history books will reflect this as follows:
In the ACC, both Bowden coaches, Junior and Senior, made famous the annual overhyped match up known as the Bowden Bowl. Ironically, both coaches were eventually Grobed of their jobs, although Senior was allowed to remain as figure head until [Joe Paterno died/he died]*.
