commentjack, thy name is Alabamafan…Auburn sux—arp arp arp, cow college arp arp arp. Seriously, who cares about Auburn? Yesterday’s CBS game was Stephen Hawking vs. Christopher Reeve (post polo pony plunge) Cripple fight to end all cripple fights. All they did was bang their wheelchairs together the entire second half. Could Tubby have looked less interested in the game? Auburn really is a shit-stain of a town, though. I don’t even want to mention their cock-washer of a program. (See what happened there?)
MBD @ 53 – Knoxville accepts your challenge, Tuscaloosa.
Remember, the Tennessee River and the waste of 1.3 million flow into Alabama – and because rain drops haven’t reached the surface of Atlanta’s streets in 8 years, Georgia wants some that action!
Wow.Just wow. As a lifelong Tide fan with inside connections with the athletic dept., I was still skeptical even after the Clemson game….my good friend who is on the inside would tell me how intense and focused and how hard the guys work, but I still, before this game, was looking for the other shoe to drop. And it came down on Georgia like Pearl Harbor (Saban historical reference) or Shock and Awe(the look on the spray painted black faces of the Georgia fans)…Now I am realistic, I dont think we are a complete team and this can go off the rails if Cody or Andre or Caldwell get hurt, but after this game, some Tide fans will become about as tolerable as a hardcore soccer hooligans…its pretty bad when hooligans tell Tide fans to “tone it down”…And Blon, you are right, that 4 million looks like a good investment so far……my voice is gone, I think I dislocated my shoulder jumping up and giving high fives during the game, and the celebration lasted at the local sports bar til 4:33am…my buddy is a Paramedic, and let me tell you, an IV after a full night of drinking is the way to go!!! I just hope we can keep Saban here for 3 more years, just to see what can happen when the cupboard is fully stocked with his type of QB and skill players….I can see the Patriots coaching philosphy really starting to come out in Sabans style of prep, game plan, and execution. I think Nick Saban can see something in certain players, the type of players he can develop into NFL players. I think he is a NFL scout parading as a coach. I was expecting it to be a back and forth classic, whoever had the ball last would win…..but it looks like the Death Star is fully operational, only thing Saban was missing last night for the blackout was the Vader cloak….and he has a bunch of Sith Lords on defense….his gameplan is to strike first, strike hard and strike often, take the running game away and play keep away…
BLACKOUT=BLOWOUT………and AJ is a great player, Stafford has a LaserRocketCannonRPGLauncher for an arm, just has a real thin O-Line, plus Knowshons haircut probaly jinxed it…….
Three days @ 54
I don’t live in Tuscaloosa, but I’ve been there and Knoxville. My recollection of Knoxville is a collection of Waffle Houses and air that resembled southern California. Everything in the town had a puke orange “T” plastered on it.
I was at the game and must say Georgia fans took it with class. The way a working girl at the Bunny ranch is asked to do something she doesn’t like but it’s part of the job. Didn’t bitch, gritted there teeth and took it like a champ. Not everywhere can you come to town, gorilla f**k a team and have them say thank you.
Enjoyed it. Athens is a great time.
As an orange-bleeder, I find this odd. Tuscaloosa is by far my favorite away game destination. The campus is just gorgeous. I’ve missed approximately two UT-Bama games in 20 years, so I feel pretty safe saying this.
Umm, Holly, there have only been five UA vs. Deer Hunters in the past 20 years in Tuscaloosa. Alabama played their home games iagainst UT in Birmingham at Legion Field through 1997.
(who could forget the constant,,, “Peyton Manning, complete”)
Hey Vol,
You might want to keep 1995 and 1997 in the forefront of your mind as Alabama dominates UT for the next decade.
Orson Swindle and Stranko Montana are two men pushing thirty who should know better than to run a college football blog, but evidently don't. Both graduated from the University of Florida, and both agree that college football is far too important to be left to the professionals.

I rather enjoyed Auburn, other than what happened on the field. Tuscaloosa, on the other hand, is the rectum of the earth.

I can’t think of a single person whose night UGA ruined. Matter of fact, you made a lot of people’s night quite tolerable, thank you very much.
