HOW DO I TIMEOUT?

Still working on an accurate summary of the Vol Navy, but in the meantime, note that YTMND can do anything...like, say, summarize West Virginia's coaching situation to perfection.

Frankly, I don’t blame coach stew. If someone offered you $800k and your dream job, you’e surely take it.

I do, however, blame the back-slapping, good-ole-boys in the athletic department who offered him the job in the first place. Who in their right mind gives the head coaching job at a top 10 program (3 yrs. running) that’s appeared in 3 BCS games in 4 years to a guy with ZERO head coaching experience!!! (I take that back; stew was the head coach at VMI 10 yrs. ago. Shoot me).

Instead of hiring a young, ambitious coach with experience (see Skip Holtz) who could, hopefully, keep the program in the top 25, they hire their freindly uncle who everyone likes to drink beer and tell jokes with at family reunions. Brilliant. Thanks for setting to program back 10 yrs.

In all fairness, even though Coach Stew did completely ballocks his time management, the picture above is from OT and is probably from seconds after PK Pat McAfee’s chip shot had just banged the stick and rolled out of the cup.

I’m pretty sure all of Mountaineer Nation had the same look on their faces. I know I did.

And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? …am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!…what have I done?

Every program has that look on its face at some point. Texas had that after we hired Mackovic. (I don’t even know if I spelled his name correctly, but then, I don’t care.)

Someone — I want to say it was Brian Cook, but I could be wrong — summed it up perfectly: WVU married their rebound. And we all know how that turns out.

I wouldn’t say they married the rebound… More aptly I’d say WVU married the nice, ditzy girl… shes alot of fun when at the start of fling and that new years trip out of town… then you’re home and she burns down the house trying to make bowl of Frosted Flakes, forgets to close the gate and dog runs out, and signs you to be a Jehovah’s Witness because she liked having someone come into the house to talk to her during the day….
