The most important question from last night’s game…why in the wide world of sports does WVU line up in I-formation when it’s 3rd and short? Pat White and Noel Devine gaining 3-12 yards on 1st and 2nd down from the spread isn’t good enough for 3rd down? What madness is this?

After the big bowl victory last year, WVU officials broke one of life’s cardinal rules by making an important decision based on emotion. Not since David Cutcliffe failed to reach a bowl game with a Manning under center in 2002 has such a talented backfield completely gone to waste. Stewart’s a very likable guy. I hope he can turn it around.

Painful to say I told you so, and I still hope I’m wrong but the Bill Stewart hire looked too much like the Bobby Williams hire at Michigan State in 2000.

Both were “players coaches” that won big bowl games as interims and were emotional, quick hires. The Williams hire set State’s program back at least 5 years. Hope that isn’t the case in Morgantown……

Who’s the worst game day coach: Bill Stewart, Sylvester Croom or Ed Orgeron (R.I.P.)?

My vote is for Croom. Sly is in his fifth year of head -scratching, bone-head game management. Oh, what a half-decent offensive-minded coach could do with State’s defense backing him up.

As great of a game was KU-USF (really well coached KU team) is as bad as WFVU and CU.

While the game clock was totally mismanaged, I dont think it made a difference. The ‘eers were still 20 yds away from FG range, they are an running team with only 35 or so seconds left. Not to mention that their kicker didn’t exactly give me the impression that he’s money 50 yds out.

Bill Stewart truely managed the clock poorly by not using the first TO but the last one I understood. It was 4th down and by running it down to a cew seconds, he made sure WFV got one last shot at the endzone and CU did not.
