AUBURN VS. MISSISSIPPI STATE: LIVE TO WIN
The highlight video is complete. We only have one thing to say: if you have trouble waking up this morning, finding meaning, and feel like ending it all, just watch this highlight of the finest football game ever played: Auburn 3, Mississippi State 2. And remember the inspirational words of Paul Stanley:
Live to win, ’till you die, ’till the light dies in your eyes
Live to win, take it all, just keep fighting ’till you fall
Day by day, kickin’ all the way, I’m not cavin’ in
Let another round begin, live to win
Live to win
Live to win
Yeah, live, yeah, win!!
9/13/08: Never. Forget.

Re: The Flame Wars between AU/ALA.
I liken myself to those individuals who brought a picnic lunch to watch the battle at Bull Run during the Civil War. It’s entertaining and frightening all at the same time.

@40 No worries of that. AU doesn’t let anyone but the Aubie mascot wear the Aubie head. Personally, I think that is hilarious. It’s like one big “fuck you” to ESPN and Corso. Besides, you’d never get that old man smell out of it.

Ahhh @50. I love it when I get under your bammer skin. Just like 6 and your headcoach’s record against CTT.

I for one am a tad confused here… Orson seems to think highly of the game (total irony?) yet Holly deems it necessary to document only the flaws of the night
a highlight of the vicious hitting, velcro coverage, a couple of beautiful passes to the post, but mostly just violent brutal savage defensive play is all that should be remembered. All else is waste and fluffery
..oh yeah and some yellow flags that appeared to be jerked out of the refs’ pocket by someone with a big bet on the game

When it gets down to it, you could probably selectively edit most college football games and get something that looks pretty stinky.
Not to take away from the craptacular nature of 3-2, of course. Just emphasizing that the video was humorous, not representative.

That game was so bad that, somewhere, a bald eagle shed a tear, in front of an American flag, on the back window of a 2500 Silverado. There were plenty to choose from…
Heartbeat, indeed.

I loved this game unreservedly, for the same reasons one of my favorite movies is She-Gods of Shark Reef.

I still maintain that this game was like watching inter-species erotica; disgusted and repulsed, I couldn’t look away.

Only 1 team really scored, Clyde. AU was responsible for all 5 points.
I will always cherish my ticket stub from that game.
One could live a hundred years and never see a game like that again.
My AU group was rolling with laughter more than horror by the 4th quarter.

Rumour has it Auburn actually gained 315 yards on offense. All I can say is that I’m thrilled I missed just about all of that but saw only the part airing during the USC/OSU halftime. As the scores scrolled on the bottom of the screen we kept seeing the 3–0 and wondering how horrible the game must be. When it became 3-2 our curiosity instantly went into the stratasphere
The part we did so was so abundantly full of glorious offenseive inaptitude as leave the fondest memories for decades to come.
Thanks for the video Orson. A wonderful souvenier.

McCorvey was shit at Bama and is shit with corn in it at STATE. I like Croom but he has got to fucking get rid of McCorvey and find someone who is capable running an offense around the talent he has, not the talent he thinks he has. FUCKING SHIT BALLS.

Blame it on the cowbells. Conditional reflexing at its best. The bells rang and Auburn’s offense became drooling zombies.

And to think, you usually get a 3 point home field advantage. MSU’s score was -1 after adjusting.
