A few reminders—
*Don’t double-post. There’s only one of us running this contraption. Your comment will be gotten to as fast as possible.

*The chat-room format makes it easy to slip into this, but no one wants to see (or approve) twenty lines consisting of nothing but LOLs. Dispense with the one-word answers and bring your A-Games.
Y’all absolutely killed with this thing last week. Let’s fuckin’ dance.

A PLEA FROM OHIO:
will people please stop reffering to OSU/The Big Ten as “overrated.” Who exactly is overrating us?!?! everyone knows and excepts the fact the the Big Ten Sucks and that OSU is simply a good team, not a Nat’l Champion.
Honestly as an Ohio State fan I will be glad to see us play the ACC champ in the left-over BCS bowl where we belong.
I want an SEC team to bash USC in the Nat’l Championship at least Southern fans would enjoy a championship as much as we would; instead of a bunch of spoiled brats at USC for whom football is simply the big trend of the week.

I’ll stay up for the Auburn-MSU game if Dr. Rockso will answer my calls and get me the 3:30 am powder I’ll require. Thanks for the pain of being the liveblog mod and allowing us all to get actual enjoyment out of that USC/OSU beatdown.

Observations:
3-2? Is that lacrosse? Is sylvester Croom still one of the greatest coaches in the SEC ever?
Can we please say that Ohio State is OVERRATED and has been for a while now, say, the past 3 years?
And can we also say that since Southern Cal has only beat two teams, albiet an overrated OSU, this also qualifies them as being a bit overrated. ESPN wants to crown their ass right now….(a la Denny Green)
That the longer Charlie Weiss stays at ND, the worse off he gets….and he has 20 more years in his contract.

Wow…that was my first time actually participating in the open thread, although I’ve been reading for years. I’m always at the Florida game (gotta love those $10 tickets for us students), but it’s pretty fun just reading everybody’s comments and cracking up.

the good thing about being an Ohio State fan, there are no close losses. No hope for a last second drive. No waiting to see if there is a field goal that will break the overtime stale-mate.
No, you know when your team is done by the end of the first quarter. It makes going to the grocery store / liquor store at half time a much easier decision than it was 20 min before kickoff.
It’s the advantage of being a buckeye fan. There’s no hope beyond 20 min into the game.

I have no fucking nerves left after that absolute BS homer replay reversal that would have otherwise probably killed the game right there. And then to withstand the utter helplessness of UW on both sides of the ball after that… I think justice was served, but the Badgers played as badly in the 2nd half as AU/MSU did all game.

Blog Goliard says:
Watching the late games, I was being driven to distraction by that dumb new gimmick where the whole team comes to the line of scrimmage, acts like they’re ready to snap the ball…then they all (except for the center) stand up and look at the sideline to get some signal from the coaches, then get set to run the play again.
How in the holy name of “You Make The Call” is that not a false start?
Whatever technicality allows them to do this has to be fixed at the next rules meeting. It’s like watching Peyton Manning work…only 236% more annoying.
