KNOWSHON LIKES LEGOS–NOW, THIS IS NEWS.
Hey, Knowshon Moreno likes legos. He also has an infectious laugh, likes Patty Mayonnaise from the cartoon series Doug, and introduces himself as a wide receiver. These are all positives, btw, as is the fact that he jokes about liking Korn and Limp Biskit (we think/hope he’s joking.)
No mention of any lingering resentment towards ESPN’s shameless anti-Dawg conspiracy in not showing him vaulting a Central Michigan DB in the second half of a yawning blowout for two, possibly three more critical yards on a play broadcast on tiny CSS. It’s classy on Knowshon’s part not to hold grudges, since it’s all part of a vast, all-encompassing plot AGINST MAH DAWGS and against the ESS-EEE-SEE by THEM YANKEEZ IN BREESTUHL.
(Correction: we meant, against the Missouri Tigers, that is.)

Ignore, for a minute, the fact that if Tebow had jumped that defender ESPN would still be showing the replays – What’s the point in even putting together a highlight reel from the game if you don’t show that play?
Did you see anything more impressive on Saturday?

Dammit…I hate Moreno for gutting the UF defense last year at the cocktail party, but after seeing this there’s no wonder the Georgia football team looks so happy on the sidelines all the time. I bet this guy’s pretty fun to hang around.

Gen. Stoopnagle says:
That game was on Fox Sports South, not CSS.
As far as it being a meaningless play; endless coverage of a certain running back’s toe/foot (without getting medically into it) being the source of constant attention for a week leading up to a big game with a MAC team that hasn’t won the MAC the last two years (ahem), that’s meaningless. This week, yeah it’s meaningful; but last week? Please.
I think the average UGA fan response is more Pavolovian than anything: last year Gameday opted for Amherst-Williams instead of top ten Georgia vs ranked Auburn, the Herbstreit about-face on the need to win your conference to play in the BCS game (shamelessly plugging Michigan one year, completely scoffing Georgia the next), the drop from one to two the previous week (and UVA is so much better than… Richmond?)… Dogs have been conditioned to respond where (perceived) slights by the WWL are concerned.
This blinds them to the fact that ESPN is a promotion machine. If UGA beats South Carolina this weekend and Arizona State beat UNLV, then the machine will go into UGA mode. Bank it.

The problem with the infectious laughter is that it infects you with the ebola virus, not laughter.
I know a lot of UGa fans that complain mightily about the paucity of UGa coverage. And there’s not much of it either.

II’m not conceited enough to think that there is a conspiracy against Georgia, but ESPN should pay more attention to their coverage. Stoopnagle’s comment is a pretty good reflection of the sentiments in Dawgnation.
As an isolated incident its not a big deal, but it isn’t an isolated incident.

He’s a gifted player, no doubt. And his excitement about the game is something to enjoy.
That said, it WAS an impressive play. It DID deserve to be on highlight reels (and, in fact, ESPN made it one of the top 10 plays on Monday). Also, the game was not on CSS. It was on Fox Sports. I don’t have CSS, and I got it in Orlando, in glorious HD.
Even though you’re a Gator, keep up the great work. I check this blog religiously, despite my UGA-tendencies.

I think if I were a Dawg fan I would throw up in my own mouth at the obscene amount of coverage my team is getting this season. You can’t turn to any media outlet and not see something about the beloved Dawgs. From the new Uga to Richt pimping Ford’s to Knowshown flying amongst the clouds, it’s a bit excessive. Now, here in Athens south, both AM sports stations have former Dawgs as hosts. You can’t escape the Dawg hype machine!

One of the UGA starters on defense said that They didn’t like Knowshon at first. When He was red shirted and playing on the scout team He went full out, just like He plays in games. The jumping up and running back to the huddle, lowering His shoulder for extra yardage when the norm for the starters is to “take it easy” on the new guys, and the physical arrogance in His play made Them believe Knowshon was a hot dog. It was when the guys got to know Him off the field that They began to like Him. According to His teammates Knowshon IS a fun guy to hang out with and quite humble off the field.

Just a couple of thoughts….
(1). Knowshon is admirably stepping into the Auburn Iron brothers shoes. Midgets in suitcases….hahahaha
(2). Prior to “The Leap” Knowshon personally gave an offensive lineman (who had made a five yard false start penalty) some “constructive criticism”. If you can back it up well…. I have never seen anyone with as much enthusiasm.
(3). Mark Richt made chicken salad out of chicken….. No Saben/Miles/Meyer hell raising. He is the Pete Carroll of the east. He created a firestorm as subtly as Burl Ives.
(4). Should Coffman have been included…Hell Yes. However ESPN seems to like to show Beenie getting “turf toe”. If it was Prothro-esque I might be interested. I have had worst looking injuries ice skating. ESPN is a joke. Just for fun…Does anyone like Mark Mays?
