EDSBS LIVE! OH NO YOU DIDN’T EDITION
EDSBS LIVE! is on tonight at 9 p.m.. Our guest: Pete Thamel of the New York Times, the college football writer for the Gray Lady and blogger at the Quad. Don’t tell the Sulzbergers or they’ll send Mattias after him, and you really don’t want that happening.
Listen here. We’ll hear you then.
(This song will end up as the background to some game’s highlight reel. I don’t know which one, but this will happen this fall.)

I’ll take “Ripping Off Sublime” for $200, Alex.
(I still dig the tune, but if that doesn’t sound like something straight off of the “40 Ounces to Freedom” album, I’ll eat my Kangol hat…)

@2 – Sublime never used that much piano. Skank it up and add a backbeat, then, yeah.

This game is great for those who have the time to spend countless hours on the couch stoned out of their gourds.

Signal to Noise,
I agree on the skanked-up back-beat, but Sublime definitely used a lot of keyboards in their music. (Though my post mostly referred to the singer in the above clip aping the late Mr. Nowell’s vocal stylings…)

I’m going to have to skip this week’s show. I just returned from Houma (an eight-hour drive) and getting things back at Mom’s house to somewhat-normal. Now, I’m one tired pup.

Holly, I am surprised that someone with big, brass tuuuubes would enjoy a non-teletubby etude.

In fairness to myself, this was the music playing in my head when I saw Knowshon Moreno jump over that Central Michigan dude.

#7 – I can see that.
That full-length version with the chorus was GLORIOUS.
I’m not sure when jingles for ads became more interesting and creative than most songs played on the radio, but I can roll with that.

That commercial is great. I’m hoping that it accompanies highlights of Florida beating Georgia this year.
