It’s too bad the TD on the previous play was called back, then Shannon wouldn’t have anything to bitch about. And 30-3 looks more like a blowout. Oh well, I guess Shannon will have to wait until 2011 (or whenever they play next) to get his ‘revenge’, if he’s still the coach at that time.

Btw, was that Freek at the end of that video, and if so, is that his first appearance?

Karma can be a bitch in these running up the score situations. Nebraska’s Matt Turman audibled into a pass — which went for a TD — with a 48 point lead against Arizona State in 1995.

I really don’t understand why he was mad or what we could have done differently. I mean, what if we had run a play on 4th down and scored a TD against their (then) worn-out defense? How mad would he have been then?

I don’t remember the OBC crying when Tommy Frazier broke a billion tackles while tacking on needless points. You don’t want the opponents to score, stop them fair and square (no cheap shots to induce injurys). Even if we only count the value of scholarships, D-1 players get paid way too much to worry about their feelings on getting blown out.

Kicking a last minute field goal to run up the score is a tradition in the UF-UM rivalry… guess we all saw what kind of person Howard Schnellenberger was when he did it, and it so backfired on those 80’s era Miami teams, right?

Randy was just worried about a “visit” from Luther Campbell (euphemism for thug-life coCane fans) after losing a bundle on the spread.

UNJCB had about the most gutless offensive game plan I’ve ever seen. The old “let’s start running out the clock from the opening kickoff” routine.

50 yards of total offense after halftime (compared to UF’s 240)? Really?
