That was without a doubt the most putrid performance I've seen in a long time, and I was an undergrad when NU was utter whaleshit. (By the way, nice work, Kitties. Keep it up, and you might actually go bowling this year.) Nevertheless, The Pride Of The Highlands and I watched all but the last five minutes. I'm still not sure why, but we're either incurable optimists, or we have a serious bent for submission and degradation.

After that travesty, it was almost a relief to root for Colorado State, but the weekend in general has spoiled my taste for foobaw for a few days.

fire-eating, tap-dancing chimpanzees wouldn't have made watching that game worthwhile. That game was brutal.........of course, I watched almost the entire thing. It is early in the season.

That play alone made watching that game worthwhile.

Text message I received from my nephew who lives just outside of Lexington: "That boy picked that thing up like it was a cheeseburger."

Louisville just does not have the personnel, plain and simple. No first-tier playmakers and maybe two second-tier playmakers. It's bare in the cupboard.

UK's defense looked good against an anemic offense, and is not inadequate for an SEC defense, but I don't know how it'll deal with a decent offensive line and teams with multiple first-tier athletes. I think they will beat Arkansas and pull off one other conference win, ending 6-6. Hello, Shreveport. But hey, it would be another solid year for the Cats, who really look like they are building something.

#10- South Carolina and UT are definite toss ups for Kentucky, especially if this defense stays healthy and the offense even remotely improves week-to-week. They've got 3 tasty cupcakes to snack on and work out some kinks.

Here's to Myron "Red Velvet" Pryor (the name has stuck) ripping one of these off in Knoxville.

Kentucky with a defense. Who woulda thunk it?

In a strange twist of deja vu, "310 pounds of glory" was the caption of the picture taken of me mud-wrestling a pig at last year's Hancock County Fair.

#7 - I don't think UK will shake the doormat label until the team starts finishing in the top 3 of the SEC East. That means winning against South Carolina (possible), Florida (improbable) and Tennessee (Save Fulmer!).

More animosity towards Bobby P.: Arthur Blank or Louisville fans?

Hey Cardinal faithful - why not get blackout drunk and stumble over to Churchill Downs? Seems like a better use of time than watching that team play.

Kentucky is nowhere close to the Top 25, but they most certainly start the year 4-0, will probably make an appearance in the low 20's before the Bama game, and are well on their way to Bowl #3 straight under Papaw.

It's nice to not be the doormat of college football anymore.

“–310 pounds of glory: it happens in the form of Myron Pryor who had five tackles, a TFL, a forced fumble, and this run for a giant imaginary red velvet cake dancing in the endzone.”

LSUFreek needs to make this happen.
