EDSBS LIVE: UCLA/TENNESSEE
We will be holding a festive discussion group tonight most people know as EDSBS Live. We'll begin at the beginning of halftime of the Tennessee/UCLA game and proceed from there, taking your calls, discussing the events of the weekend (Wannstache'd!), and otherwise working it like supermodels should on this fine, fine Labor Day.
Listen here starting at the half. We'll go as long as it takes, or until we run out of Franzia.
Hear you then.

Perfect timing, as I am going to the Rutgers/Fresno State game.
Should be interesting…

I’m very happy that I am only 22, and do not remember RuPaul ever being popular. Watching the random music videos you put up is like a music history lesson, even if 99% of the time it is more of a warning of what could happen again if we don’t learn from these past disasters.
P.S. J-Mac is unstoppable… unless he injures himself.

The Monday after the first week of college football and this is it? I know it is a holiday, but DAMN. You need to put the Purple Drank down and speed that roll back up.

I’ve been invited to somebody-with-a-bigger-tv’s house, so I’ll be out unless the Vols start losing and somebody is making snide comments prompting me to come home and pout.
Vols, bitch

Fresno St. and Rutgers are battling it out to see who sucks worse in college football.
And just remember, Tommy Bowden is the tub girl to Bobby and Terry’s 2 girls 1 cup

This Tenn-UCLA can’t start soon enough.
This Fresno-Rutgers game isn’t so much a college football game, as it is a pillow fight.

I’m amazed the people in the Fresno Rutgers game actually paid to watch this crap, I would be at the tix booth asking for my money back, these teams stink more then a Vol cheerleader’s snatch on a post game party..
By the way, GO UCLA!

After watching the Rutgers/Fresno State field hockey tilt, I’m convinced a new uber-conference is in order.
The Big ACC East. Just imagine the heavyweight coaching matchups.
The Wannestache battling Al Groh squads as close as possible to their own goalline and let’s not forget
Bowden and Kragthorpe pouring over hours of film to determine less effective ways to use their skill players. I can definately see it now…and I will be calling an optometrist soon.

You won, basically, all your games last year by an average of 2 points, and you are lumping yourself in with the inevitable ACC champion.
The preceding quote was from one of our own illustrious commentors. One of the few that is willing to bare his neck on the cfb chopping block. Yes, he can turn an argument with deftness, espouse minute and is unarguably loyal.
Notice, there was no boasting of Top 10 inclusion or ACC dominance. He knows his place.
Just remember, speeeeeed is good, speeeeeeed is the future, but 365 lb. nose tackles can wreak havoc on mother natures finest display of atmospheric disturbances.
Ya think, Dwight Allen can be used as a blocker?

This weekend was a win for the BIg Ten, not because the conference played particularly well out of conference, but because the ACC and Big East performed so poorly. LET MEDIOCRITY REIGN SUPREME!

I just came back from Fresno @ Rutgers. Rutgers just. kept. shooting. themselves. in. the. foot. 4 trips to the red zone in the first half led to 0 points due to poor execution, poor finishing, and some playcalling from an OC that seemed to forget that Ray Rice isn’t on this team anymore. The defense was excellent in the first half, but they couldn’t figure out Fresno’s adjustments (and they were good in the second half, they were awful in the first) in the second. The offense continued to be out of sync (in the red zone and otherwise) and the defense got busted.
Let’s not start throwing RU out the window, but this was very disappointing – the Knights should have put the Bulldogs to the sword in the first half, but instead they let themselves get bit. RU’s got 10 days to get everything in order before Butch Davis and UNC comes to Piscataway.

1. If Walker manages to keep UCLA in this, they should bronze his headset. To say he is getting no help from the O-side is an understatement.
2. Is it just me, or does anyone else get confused when Mike Patrick calls down to Holly Rowe? I keep waiting for Holly from EDSBS to pop up.

Wow, a lil bit tougher sledding isn’t it when Cutcliffe isn’t telling you the exact play you should be calling after the D lines up.

Tennessee, after having one punt blocked and returned for 6, decided that they would try the 10-man protection scheme this time…
God, this game is terrible.

I really was kidding about the UCLA QB—yet another pick…and what is the problem with Tenn and the damn wristbands? Could Fulmer stop eating pie or whatever he is doing to fix that?

Well, Rocky Bottom has been reached two years in a row in California, losing to the 5th-8th best team in the conference.
In fact, good weekend for California out of conference – SC buries Va, California sends Michigan State home a wondering, Fresno State goes to Rutgers and does its thing, and then the Vols bury their head in shame in their favorite state, yet again.
Go, Phil, Go!

Gotta give Tennessee credit for not scheduling Coastal Chattanooga A&I State over the last couple of years. But coming to the Pac 10 hasn’t been good for them the past two years. I wonder how Arizona State will do against Georgia. Arizona State has an offensive line that’s truly offensive. If the Sun Devils win, then I know the SEC is exposed.
Go Bears!
