Since the ESPN deal is w/ the SEC, they will likely receive more fluff relative to the Big 10 than in the past.

Go back to the ‘06 season, when after the UM/OSU game the blabbering idiots that make up college gameday sat there and told us that “we’ve seen the two best teams in the country, and i think they deserve a rematch.” This even goes beyond the eventual Florida as kicking that ensued. Anyone remember the 4TD blowout that the Rose Bowl was that year? Featuring, GASP, that great Michigan team…. The problem is that there is ZERO objectivity in what goes on at ESPN when you have former players and coaches who cant take off their Jim Tressel pajamas long enough be realistic. And now with the SEC selling out, the last big anti-ESPN establishment is gone until Fox gets off their lazy asses and cashes in with a Pac 10/Big 12 deal.

How is that any different form the way things have been ever since ESPN started televising college football? You also have to remember that CBS will still have an SEC game, too. ESPN has never cared for having better games so much as having more viewers. That being said, should there be a surprise team in the SEC, they will receive more national interest, and therefore, ESPN may elect to put the game on a higher profile station than normal.
