Sadly the others are correct and there is no re-entry anymore. Hell, I had a friend last year kicked out when he didn’t have his ticket with him (he left it at his seat) on his way back from the concession stand. Luckily in undergrad I was in the marching band and no one checked our band bags (no longer allowed) or camelbacks (no longer allowed). Hence the need now to get especially hammered before the game.

I do, however, appreciate the Rainey info – I actually have a UF player to pull for this year.

Yeah, the football halftimes are actually really convenient – about half the stadium leaves to go back to their tailgates. The stadium is bordered by campus lots and neighborhoods, so everyone is nearby. We usually have a few drinks, munch on something, and get updates on all the other games.

Is the same true for hoops?
I’ve never been to Lawrence, but if the weather wasn’t too bad – might be nice to sneak out for a drink or four.

FWIW, KU allows re-entry after halftime, which is great considering we tailgate across the street from the stadium. It’s glorious, from what I can remember of it.

We used to, but the University killed re-entry around ‘98.

I read somewhere that UF was the only school that allowed Re-entry after halftime. Is this still the case?

Can you really run out to your cars, slam some more drinks and be back to your seats but 2nd half kickoff?
