We can all agree on two things:

1.) College football is a dirty business
2.) FSU is total shit

Uuummm, Bobby, F$U’s football program was caught cheating in ‘84, too; right after the basketball program got caught. They just didn’t get the same penalties… guess you could chalk it up to BB being more experienced at deception. Of course, they got caught again in ‘96, and skated with a year’s probation. Let’s face it, Bobby Bowden has escaped closer scrutiny and culpability primarily because of his faux spirituality and good ol’ boy charm. Improper inducements and tactics by F$U, that are common, accepted knowledge to most native Floridians, have been white-washed well by the wily one, when confronted by suits. But, Tom Sawyer doesn’t have nearly enough in his bucket to cover up this dirt. Does anyone really think this kind of thing hasn’t been going on for years at F$U? Not that UF has to worry about it, but some other programs probably wouldn’t mind some game forfeitures… although recently, it really wouldn’t amount to very many.

What was rightfully Florida’s?!? Buuuwaaahahahaha. Florida managed to be a renegade program and still suck. Bowden got to Tallahassee and promptly OWNED the Crocs, then the Crocs hired Cheatin’ Charley. Felt the heat, started to cheat. Never mind that Bowden had to recruit against a renegade program committing recruiting violations left and right. Probation simply kept UF where it deserved to be.

There IS some justice in the world! The misplaced sense of importance, still laughably carried by a few Criminoles to this day, was created by an opportune series of events, primarily Florida’s major recruiting sanctions, that allowed Half Ass U to temporarily usurp what is rightfully Florida’s. Now that they are back where they belong, having jumped the shark, they seem unaware of there lack of relevance, much like Bobby Bowden seems remarkably unaware of his players’ names.

F$U is simply passe.

Mickey Andrews is looking like Nixon these days.

The UF-FSU game was so highly anticipated and so much of a physical assault on the field for so many years — primarily 1989 (a wilding on artificial turf) to 2001 (end of the Spurdog) — that each game marked time in its own distinct way. That should be a book for Orson/Spencer to write.

I’m not kidding when I say FAU played UF tougher than FSU did last year when they played at the Swamp in consectutive weeks. Joyous, not sad, really.

I want to see FSU and Miami at least go back to the 9-3 or 10-2 level. The ACC needs a real villain again, and I just can’t bring myself to hate Virginia Tech or Wake Forest enough.
