um, so the grabbing of each other’s nuts occurs after the water balloon fight?

So I’m guessing that this guy is the new Reveille?

Enough about the Aggies. I know they make it too easy, but please leave those poor kids alone.
What was Orangeblood’s post yesterday? Three days to pick a new coach, three months to pick a new mascot. Something like that.
It sums it up beautifully.

Actually, I believe this is the defensive scheme they’ll be using this year against Texas Tech.

I mean…God, we can’t ever win.
Never let it be said, though, that Blon57 let any reference to A&M ever go untouched (however, you did acknowledge the past troubles the horns have had with the Ags of late within the past few days, so…ok).
This one, though…he’s right. We make it way too easy.

He would be a she. And those of us in the Big12 have to post somethings just to start discussion about our own schools. Damn it, we’re surrounded on all sides by all these SECers. And they don’t seem to think we play any decent football, either.
You have to admit, Aggie jokes just write themselves. :-)

“make it too easy”
Huh? It’s a friggin’ water balloon fight.

I was serious when I said leave the poor kids alone. Every post on this blog about A&M usually involves one of your traditions that, outside B/CS, is an absolute mystery to the rest of us. Maybe our own failing, but those traditions just set the school up for ridicule. You may not want to hear it, but it is true.
Unfortunately, I have a relative that probably participated in that water balloon fight.

Blon57, no offense taken.
You’re right: Aggie jokes do seem to perpetually appear in real life. As for the posts, yeah, when we see one, I think most of us are typically like, “Damn it; Orson found ______. This should be ‘pleasant’ for us,” but still taking it in fun.
The “retro” picture, though? Ooof. That one left a mark.

And said relative was mortified when I sent him the link to that picture. A&M should find the negative and all copies and have a bonfire.

You seem to be taking this rather lightly for an aggie. Do they refer to you as a 2%er out in college station?
by ClemsonHorn on Aug 20, 2008 7:41 PM EDT reply actions
Yeah, Aggies are so easy to make fun of. Check out this pic of the Red, White and Blue out after 9/11 and ask yourself if your school could do this.

Color-coordinating the stadium rates a difficulty bonus at A&M, huh? Figures.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is not impressed.

No, not a 2%er, though the very vocal minority would probably brand me as such. I think most of our fans take very similar approaches. As with all large groups, though, there are extremes and outliers…unfortunately, as with those same groups, they’re the ones that get the notoriety/press time…

What they failed to show in the pictures was that no water ballons were actually thrown.
Mike Sherman clearly stated in the rules that all water balloon attacks would be handoffs.

Much like their offense last year.
For family unity I was forced to attend one game (beside the obvious) and even the women around me, who didn’t have a clue about the game of football, were able to start calling plays and usually got them right. Franchione was a disgrace to that program. A&M has always had a lot of talent on the roster and it continues to mystify the rest of the Big12 why they can’t make better use of that talent. McGee is a talented, smart and tenacious QB and he hasn’t gotten the recognition that he probably deserves. Part of that is due to the Fran regime.

blon57,
I’m guessing the reason it only took 3 days to hire a new coach is because Byrne was already looking. I think just about all of college football knew Fran was out after last season.
Anon,
Grabbing of each other’s nuts is a sip thing to do. The Aggie cadets have been known to grab their own nuts in the event sips are nearby, it’s self defense.

Did Franchione really buy a home in Horseshoe Bay? So now he is living around Austin?
Barking Carnival is a great site.
