Around SBN: Four TCU Football Players Among 17 Arrested In Drug Ring

BLOGTOBERFEST: TREV LOVES US EDITION.

Blogtoberfest: witty title goes here!

Number three in your hearts, number one in your pants. Trev loves us, even though we have to work harder to win his love.

He's obviously never read us in a full mid-season espresso lather...not yet, that is.

Baby Rhino's gonna be on the cover of Men's Fitness, sandwiched right between the article on flatter abs now! and better sex now! and be a UFC champion AND a high-performing CEO now! Friends of the Program has the full workout plan, of course.

Your visual Michigan calendar appears here. Apologies, Yvgeni, we have no idea where the first [NAME REDACTED] post is.

Ted Miller is ripping it at his ESPN blog, and brings you

Star-divide

the necessary steps to prepare for the "game manager" Nate Longshore to take the reins at starter again, Cal fans.

We got this from Holly this morning, and you know we are pretty happy about this.

It's nice having friends.

15 more years! 15 more years! The helmets look shinier, the fans seem angrier, and the mikes are perpetually hot with the bellowing rage of the fanbeast: all guaranteed for another 15 years, which we're more than happy with, since CBS clearly seems to have a blast broadcasting the SEC, and should continue to do so. Whatever keeps our precious whore of a conference away from NBC, we'll do it.

Stephen McGee remains the starter at Texas A&M.

Drew dips his fat toes into the world of college football, and leaves the reeking, tangy odor you expect from a Balls Deep production.

Fun fact: In the entire history of the school, no Auburn student has ever graduated. In fact, they don’t even plan a commencement. Everyone just kind of wanders off campus around March or so.

True. Cuddles would have left sooner, but he had his cable paid through the month, and no one should waste a precious resource like Spike TV.

This man is an impostor. We refuse to recognize this poll’s authority.

There is only one Trev. No false Trevs to be blogged before him.

Maybe CBS coverage will get better. Verne’s gotta die soon, right? Jeez. Was hoping Fox would pony up and make a run at a deal with the SEC.

“With this news it also seems highly unlikely that the SEC would still be considering a network of their own, but it’s not entirely out of the question.”

How long is the Raycom contract for? Doesn’t the SEC want to escape from the primeval swamp of the three Daves and Yellawood ads?

Glad about McGee. He doesn’t put up incredible numbers but the kid has had some impressive comebacks and gutsy runs.

Also has some of the fewest INT’s out there. that would have something to do w/ fran and his fear of the forward pass.

“EDSBS…kind of funny” – Trev Alberts

That’s one for the back of EDSBS: The Book!

Crushing Atlanta! I knew Trev Alberts was Russia’s secret weapon against Georgia!

Wait… you mean the other Georgia?

I really like CBS’s coverage of the games. I think that because they only broadcast one game a week, they just sink into it as an additional NFL game. The production value is better, I personally find Verne really entertaining, I’m not bombarded with bullshit stories in and around campuses I really have no interest in ever visiting, and I could care less where Todd fucking Blackledge is eating and that Mike Patrick has been relegated from broadcast booth to camera swingman…

I hope you are being sarcastic.

Regarding CBS and SEC, anybody know me the best way to get copies of old games (pre 2000). I tried emailing CBS, but surprisingly they didn’t want to take my money…or respond in any fashion. Should have mentioned I was with Bush in the National Guard.

Did Trev say cornnation.com. I am sure he meant cornholenation.com b/c that is exactly what that guy is.

SEC fans,

You do not know how good you got it with CBS. Having to resort to Fox, TBS, and the ABC afternoon game is worse than purgatory. It’s like, you know, hell.

by meatybob on Aug 14, 2008 5:32 PM EDT reply actions

What production assistant wrote that and decided that the #1 blog would be retired? Dumbass.

Also, that sound of escaping air you hear is every Cal fan in America putting down their glasses of pinot noir and sighing regretfully. Maybe Tedford didn’t watch the Armed Forces Bowl (no one else did) or the Oregon State game (sans the head-splitting scramble decision).

by slims on Aug 14, 2008 5:33 PM EDT reply actions

Nope. I think Verne is a slight upgrade from say a Mussberger, in that he picks a favorite and rah-rahs for him.

He was a bama fan in ’05. He went down on Tebow continually last season.

I’d take Ron Franklin any day of the week, but apparently he pissed somebody off at Disneysports.com

only 3 of his top 5 were actual blogs, I’m glad he decided to spam us with those two other generic news sites though.. thanks trev.

@ gurn

I respectfully disagree, sir. Having to listen to Thom Brenamen do SEC football every week would be worse than contracting a stubborn case of whatever is eating at USC’s junk right now.

Though it was kind of fun to watch him shreik in horror while Georgia, as the lawyers say, stubbornly failed and refused to stop beating the everloving crap out of Hawaii.

I’ve always liked CBS’s telecasts as opposed to the other networks. Fox’s coverage seems, I dunno, forced, and the Lincoln Financial/JP Sports/whatever the fuck they’re called now is using recycled cameras from the set of “The Toxic Avenger”. ESPN’s coverage is decent, and NBC’s Irish coverage is very dismal.

If I can’t have it on CBS, I’d rather have it on ESPN.

Don’t forget how God-awful Charles Davis is as well. That booth combo for the Sugar Bowl was like sitting next to a Mississippi State co-ed with a fully charged cell phone on a bus going across country.

Fox sucks ass.

CBS is better, but they’ve got to stop wasting game time with soft-focus segues and game re-caps before and after every interminable commercial break. DEATH TO RED HAT!

This next play is brought to you by Fox Studio’s newest blockbuster JUMPER! That’s JUMPER appearing in theaters next week. Oh, and that was a great sideline catch by Massaquoi. Let’s look at that through “Jumper Vision”. That’s right Jumper Vision, the replay tool inspired by Fox’s blockbuster JUMPER. And, now back to live action, again brought to by JUMPER. ITS JUMPER.

hey….what happened? my comment submitted before I was ready.
What I was going to say is, what the hell ever happened to Ron Franklin. He used to do the Saturday night Prime time game (usually an SEC game) for espn. Who ousted him?

Trev/Rodan/Gamera/Godzilla, how about posting a link? Sprinttv googled, gives me Rice football……

…..And this little bit of coachspeak….http://www.ricefootball.net/08mediadayandrewsendejo0008.htm
