So, thats what it would have looked like if Shaq would have played football.....I guess it would be like trying to throw over a tree blindly guessing where the ball will be going....but hey its JPW so minus the Tenn. game, thats basically how he threw it anyway

With the timetable they set, Hardy will be back for somewhere between Game 4 and Game 6 on our schedule.

Our first SEC game is Game 4 against Vandy, followed by the trip to Gainesville, followed by Game 6 at home against SC.

Good news Orson is that there is still a good chance he'll get to make the trip to the Swamp. For those that don't know, Hardy is basically a first round talent at DE. He's an odd ball though, and under Orgeron, they had a hard time getting him to consistently show up and give effort every game/every play. Alabama was one of the only games last year that he showed up and gave effort the whole game.

From all reports, Nutt and staff were able to get his mind right this off-season. So hopefully after he gets back from injury, we'll get to see how good he can be if he actually shows up to play for the whole season.

Even with taking plays off last year and even though he only played in 9 of our 12 games due to attitude issues, he still managed to lead the SEC in sacks. The sky is the limit for this guy if he shows up every play, every week.

It's been pretty quiet since OU kicked Jarboe off the team. Do we know what schools are talking to him? I would imagine Urban is....if he is going to get any playing time this year, I would think some school would be moving pretty fast. Anyone? Anyone?

SEC Injury report:

LSU- Jarrett Lee, minor soft tissue injury. Most likely minor ankle sprain.

Among those also missing Tuesday's scrimmage were defensive tackle Charles Alexander (hamstring), center Brett Helms (calf) and quarterback Jarrett Lee (leg).

Darry Beckwith to the growing injury list on the LSU football team. Beckwith was held out of Tuesday's scrimmage with a shoulder contusion, LSU coach Les Miles said.

FLORIDA -

TE Ingram from Florida, torn ACL, out for season.

Brendan Beal and Jim Barrie both tore their ACLs.

Safety Marcus Jemison was to have a surgical procedure Monday to repair a broken bone in his lower leg. The procedure is considered routine and a full recovery is expected. He will redshirt, but a redshirt year was likely anyway. ...

Harvin still isn't 100%.

Torrey Davis is off the team.

AUBURN -

Aaron Savage,Starting DB with dislocated knee cap, a torn ACL and a torn MCL / out for the season.

TENNESSEE

Chase Nelson (DT - Starter = No)/UT/Patella Tendon Rupture/Season

GEORGIA

Trinton Sturdivant: Blew out his ACL, MCL, PCL. Nerve damage not known. Out and may never play again.

OLE MISS -

Starting DT P. Jerry (sprained MCL) out another 10 days or so
Starting DE G. Hardy (foot) -- Word is he had surgery today (6-8 weeks)
Starting WR M. Wallace (hamstring) no big deal; they're being careful
Starting Safety J. Brown (hamstring) a little bigger deal; likely back out there this week.
2nd String Safety K. Lewis (ankle) sprained it; he'll be back soon, probably today.
Starting DT T. Laurent (knee surgery) -- out at least a couple more weeks.
3rd string DE L. Armour (knee) -- Nutt said he would likely need surgery; no timetable was discussed.
Starting OL R. Neily (sprained Achilles) -- no timetable has been discussed publicly
2nd/3rd String LB L. Brumfield (kidney) -- returned to practice Friday
Starting OLB A. Walker (knee) -- we'll likely find out something today; hurt it Saturday; initial feeling was it wasn't bad.

Patrick Beverly out at Arkansas
Their best returning player is out for next year. Also reported on the radio today their top recruit not academically eligible

My favorite play was watching Hardy walk into the locker room a loser. Great game, but the stats just list a 'L' for this one.

Was the theme music Daughtry? Seriously. Daughtry? Hardy's performance in that game was nothing short of spectacular and you go and immortalize it by scoring it to Daughtry. Who ever you are Mr. Ole Miss, YouTube highlighter, someone should slap the piss out of you - mainly Greg Hardy. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery - I hope he's 100%. The week after Ole Miss plays Alabama.

note to all Div.I coaches: Yea, that's enough of that "hitting-type" practice for a while. Can you just jog the fellas around for an hour or so, with a good stretch and massage to finish the day?
