Evidently, this skill is coached at ASU. Review the following quote from then-QB Sam Keller, on the protection given by the USC offensive line to Matt Leinart during a game at Oregon, after watching film footage of that game:

“He’s got 8 seconds to throw! He sat back there, he could have made a sandwich, ate it, dropped half of it, picked it up, ate it and then thrown the ball.”

Hawaii is only now coming to Georgia because Marcus Howard left last week for Colts training camp. I was surprised during the Colts/Redskins preseason game that Colt Brennan even came out of the tunnell. That’s either resiliency or amnesia. Maybe a little of both.

From the “Disregard Everything I Just Said” department:
Totally unrelated, and starting in the NFL but tied to NCAA, but did anyone else catch Ocho Cinco’s interview with Suzy Kolber last night during the Bengals/Packers game? He spent 4 minutes talking about how he has re-focused and just wants to win and that he’s a new person for the best. Great- good for you. Thanks for talking some sense into him, Ray Lewis.
BUT, then when asked what he had in store for the fans this season, he cryptically replied something to the effect of “i’m bringing back early-90’s Dade County to the NFL”, adding, for clarity’s sake, “if you were around for Miami Football in the 90’s, you know what i mean.”

was this a good thing to say or a bad thing? Because for what i remember of The U from that decade, there may have been some wins, but not much of it was very trouble-free and smooth-sailing…

blon @ #9…yes, and although no one is taught to defend a client with nonsensical permutations of facts/sideways logic/pure tripe, sometimes one must “make up shit as you go along” and the results can be incredibly entertaining. The old legal saw of “you take your client as you find him (or her)” must be the mindset of any practicing attorney, and our poor subject is in need of dramatic and bombastic assistance (i.e. his real story is either unbelieveable or a loser).

Torn ACL, MCL, and PCL. Bad news for the team, sure, but with an injury like that, you worry about his ability to come back one day.

He’s a guy that had top 10 NFL pick written all over him, and hopefully that’ll still be there when he’s done with healing and rehab.
