Around SBN: Leandro Damiao Is Still Really Good

COUNTDOWN: 38

"What to do if you find yourself stuck with no hope of rescue: Consider yourself lucky that life has been good to you so far. Alternatively, if life hasn't been good to you so far, which given your present circumstances seems more likely, consider yourself lucky that it won't be troubling you much longer."

I was about to make a “was that the only tackle akron had that game or what?” joke…

but then i remembered how unimpressive that win was for OSU.

has the Predator hair trend run its course yet?

what’s the next hair/uniform related trend on the horizon? personally, i’d love to see jheri curls or the high top fade make a brief comeback.

I think I liked the recent movie of that book more than a lot of people did.

by Year2-Dave on Jul 21, 2008 7:27 PM EDT reply actions

it wasn’t as good as the book but the film was certainly still worth watching

The problem with the Hitchhiker’s Guide movie was that a lot of the best jokes don’t translate well to the screen. And I think a few of the editing decisions were a bit odd … it seemed to me that if you hadn’t read the book, you’d be confused by half the jokes, and if you had read it you’d be mad about the opportunities they missed.

That’s not to say it was terrible – it was decent, and a few of the new parts (the Point of View Gun in particular) were brilliant. But they could have done a better job with it, even if they couldn’t have made it live up to the book.

Yeah, that game was still in doubt with 5 minutes to go in the 4th. GO ZIPS!!!!!

That game was not that close, I guess if you watch it and actually were there it’s different than when dumasses post on websites. Also I can’t wait for the next pic sucking the SEC’s dick in Florida or Georgia making some great play, and then SEC won’t get a rep in the national championship this year.

JoesOle

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

The game was not close. Akron had 69 yards of offense and 3 first downs…the game was NOT in doubt with 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

Akron did have 3 INT’s in the game, and it was 3-2 at the half. If Akron would have one definitive starter ate QB at the time, it could have been an upset. It WAS in doubt with 5 minutes left in the 4th.

Akron had 3 first downs and 69 total yards of offense in that game…Keep reading that until it sinks in that the game was not actually close.

Soem of you people really suck at football…
