You are assuming of course, that “exactly jack and shit” equals zero. Not so fast my friend. “Exactly jack and shit” is a mathmatical number all its own, and in fact 10^ “exactly jack and shit” equals zero. Look it up.

When Orson started this blog, he was told that there would be no math.

And consequently, when Ty took over the UW gig, he was told there would be no recruiting, just cloning of Jake Locker. Who wants to go to Washington? Bunch of snow, rain and hippies. Only thing good from UW is the UW team from the early 90’s with them speedsters.

10^0 can’t be expressed as 10×0.

Consider 10^2/10^2. When you divide two figures like that with like bases, you subtract the bottom exponent from the top – which gives you 10^(2-2), or simply 10^0. 10^2/10^2 = 1, so it follows that 10^0 = 1 as well.

Of course, this complete failure to recruit for the 2009 freshman class will really only come home to roost in 2012 when that “class” will be in their third year and Washington is starting freshman and sophomores at critical positions because they have no juniors. But the college football world will not appreciate the essence of the long fused timebomb that this really is because that would actually require more than the most superficial of analysis.
