Papa Lou – well done, sir. I remember seeing Ball State play in the NCAA Tourney when it was in BTR on LSU’s campus in ‘86. That was the first time I had heard of the university.

That blond Indiana maiden in Google Image Search Result #9 for Ball State looks like she needed a bit of the Aloe Vera plant after her day in the sun.

Check out the pensive co-ed to her left in the photo: “Drinking beer out of a funnel? Why would one do such a thing? Is there an intrensic value gained from a modification in delivery methodologies?”

Either that, or “Gee, that looks interesting. Maybe I’ll try it.”

Mattain — I considered that song, but I indeed thought it too obvious. Plus, I’ve never been able to look that tune in the eyes since the awful teen movie in the mid-90s was released… (we do, however, have the “dirty clothes and filthy jokes” thing covered).

Coop — My deepest apologies. I must have gotten confused by your comments in a previous thread on Spurrier. Mea culpa, mea culpa. Clemson folk were super-nice to us on our visit… last thing I’d want to do is insult them by inferring they were following the team from Columbia.

Jester — Named after the five Ball brothers, wealthy industrialists who donated the land to the state to build the university in the early 1900s. Beneficience, the statue that serves as the university symbol, was commissioned in their honor (and designed by Daniel Chester French, the same dude who did the Lincoln Memorial in D.C.).
