FULMER CUPDATE: MICHIGAN IS ON THE BOARD

Michigan is on the board in the Fulmer Cup thanks to the DUI arrest of running back Kevin Grady, who took some of that fine new conditioning Michigan had and rounded it out with some impaired motor skills drills behind the wheel of a car. This bit of cross-training earns Michigan the first points of the In Rod We Trust era, a sum of two points for hearty Midwestern driving.

He also looks very drunk and very unhappy in this picture.

We've been there. Ask gin.

If there's not some kind of tire-flipping, stair-running hell waiting for Grady, we'll be disappointed. Though how you'll be able to discern this from the rest of the EEEEEE Barwis! training, we don't know.

Make sure you guys don’t leave out Arkansas LB Wendel Davis

Seems a motorist bumped in to him while he was just tooting around on his scooter and he got a case of scooter rage and started bashing their car,

he is being charged with felony criminal mischief

This presents an interesting dilemma for Rodriguez. Does this guy sit out the first half of the Utah game or will the “punishment” be meted out the next week against Miami of Ohio? The Utes in question can be dangerous as well as youthful.

That’s a lot better mug shot than the ‘big, shiteating grin’ shot I posed for when I was around his age. I’m pretty sure the judge had a copy of it when I appeared in court – not good in hindsight. ’Course, that was my vodka face.

BAAN @4

Great minds think alike.

I’m sure that this is not the last we will hear from the ‘Michigan Men’.

Gotta love all the Suckeye comments. They know all about having players in trouble w/ the law. Have any of you actually seen the list of Buckeyes that have been in trouble since the Tressel Era began? People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Typical self-righteous indignation expressed by suckeye fans. The sweatervest’s swift response to Robert Reynolds’ chokehold on Jim Sorgi says it all about the ’vest.

Both the Missouri and Arkansas players are originally from Texas. It’s good to see our talented boys go out of state and screw up some other school’s program.

Blow it out your asses, #12 and #13. Note:

1) tOSU with 0 FC points this year. I think they had a total of 2 points last year. It’s been a quiet program lately, and you both know it.

2) The “above the fray” attitude of Michigan ended the moment you hired Richie “PacMan Jones/Chris Henry” Rich. Welcome to the slop pit that is college football. Jump in, the mud’s just fine. Hope you win enough games to remain bowl eligible.

  1. It’s Miami University not Miami of Ohio, and if Michigan wants to sit him for the game against us we’ll take the win.

DUI is not nearly as entertaining as soliciting a cop for prostitution, and yet they get the same points.

He needed some Drank Beverage to “slow his roll”.

Or, maybe he slowed it too much, and wasn’t able to operate a motor vehicle.

Either way: http://www.drankbeverage.com/

So this is where Penn State’s mysterious 3 point “bump” came from. MGoBrian simply took Grady’s DUI points and tacked ‘em on to hated PSU’s tally.

No BAAN, you blow it out of your own ass, after you’re done performing fellatio on Alex Boone. Great, you have the Columbus PD in your back pocket and the lack of academics at your school leaves football as the only legitimate form of activity on campus. The rest of the country knows. We just wish we didn’t have to hear all the crap from you idiots about how clean your program is. Don’t they need someone to hand out 35,000 degrees at graduation?

Whats a Michigan kid doin’ rolling in an 07 Denali anyway? A young black man in a Denali is just askin to be pulled over. He would have been just fine in a 07 Honda Odyssey, but nooooo had to roll in a Denali….

@ The Dude

haha, Grady isn’t even top in Michigan’s depth chart at RB at the moment, Minor is, and Brown isn’t talked about because he had a workout injury. Have fun with that Michigan game, hope you have an incredible offense (for Miami), Michigan’s offense will take a while to function properly, but the defense most certainly wont.

15, I’m sure you don’t claim Maurice Clarett’s problems as being Tressel’s fault. And you probably think Tressel was completely clean with his QB on the take back at Youngstown state. So why is it Rodriguez’s fault that Pacman and Henry were terrible AFTER THEY LEFT WVU and no longer under his control?

Pacman had one incident in college (I think it was the ever-popular Fightin in da Club). Compared to what, 9 in the 3 years after he was done with WVU football? If anything, Rodriguez and company showed some serious control over their players if they were able to somehow sort of keep a moron like Pacman Jones in line for several years. Henry was kicked off the WVU team by Rodriguez, which is why he entered the draft early. Also of note: WVU had no Fulmer Cup points in ’06, and I believe 9 last year. With Rodriguez gone WVU is already rapidly closing in on 20+ with a couple months to go.

Why is that? I wouldn’t want something along the lines of 4am Mike Barwis death workouts as punishment either.

by Yinka Double Dare on Jul 3, 2008 6:27 PM EDT reply actions

Chris Henry was never kicked off the team by Rodriguez. He was suspended for one half following his ejection against Rutgers (missed the first half against Temple). He was then suspended for the Pitt game for academic reasons. He did play in the Gator Bowl again Florida State catching three passes for 61 yards. He announced he was entering the draft the next day.

Also, Henry, Jones, Harris and other players continuously received personal fouls after touchdowns. Rodriguez’s teams have been poorly disciplined in terms of penalties on the field.
