Crash forever! Pete Carroll was involved in a fender-bender yesterday, but is okay per USCRipsit, the blog that understands that you can seriously post about damn anything on the web about someone’s chosen team, and they will find it interesting. (This will be one of the key points in our discussion at CoSIDA’s convention in Tampa next week. Seriously. No lie. We’re speaking to SIDs about blogs and not bringing a flak jacket. Check the schedule if you don’t believe us.) Carroll described the vehicle as “white, red, driven by Jim Harbaugh, and traveling exactly 41 miles per hour.” No comment on Pete’s Facebook page…yet. YES, THE LEMON PARTY. Oops Pow’s mindmeld with JoePa is so convincingly accurate we’re not sure he actually isn’t Jay Paterno blogging under a pseudonym. Offered without comment which is a comment in itself. Alex Daniels, the Minnesota football player who took a cell phone video of a teammate having sex with an unconscious woman last year and was summarily dismissed from the team, is getting approval from the administration at Cincinnati to enroll and play football for the Bearcats. Also offered without comment: When asked if he were concerned about public relations fallout if Daniels joins the UC team, Kelly said: “If he was charged with a crime, I would be concerned, but he was never charged with a crime. What we’re dealing with here is bad judgment … FAH Q Seating, Sponsored by Hummer. Kansas is busy selling 56 enormous blue, white, and red plush leather chairs in the south endzone for $2,500 a piece, showing both creativity on the part of the athletic department in the field of innovative appeals to the vulgar rich and willingness to kill whatever “excitement” they wanted to create in the endzone by stuffing it with tacky barcaloungers. Four words for creating an exciting gameday environment: steep bleachers, angry people. Randy Shannon wasn’t going down this road anyway, but one tactic potentially used at Miami in the past just got a bit less viable. |

Unfortunately, after years of Bob Huggins, Enquirer headlines along the lines of “UC Enrolls Alleged Felon” are much more “Dog Bites Man” than “Man Bites Dog.” Most people in the Cincinnati area are unlikely to bat an eye at this one.

Just an alcohol misdemeanor. Phil has been charged with disorderly conduct in the past so he is obviously cleaning up his act.

A guy had sex with a girl that was unconscious and used a cell phone to video his teammates doing the same. And this was just bad judgement.

The above brought to you by the same outfit, and the same writer, who broke the Ray Ray story. That would be me taking care of the idiot Gamecock posters who want to allege media conspiracy.
So, perhaps we get our points back.
Either way, this is a very bad situation, but he has witnesses, and she does not. He also has rights as tenet, and excessive force, naturally, is gray.
And, naturally, over the course of mankind some females have exaggerated and/or flat out lied about situations to screw males over, the hell hath no fury like a woman scorned card…
which has been/is a tremendous disservice to future legitimate victims of these sorts of things.
Anyway, since McDaniel got ripped the other day, he should be allowed the opportunity for his version of the incident to be heard.

I haven’t met him, and don’t plan to, but I don’t have the highest opinion of him right now.
Football can be a brutal, violent sport. That’s a given. But most players have the intelligence to separate the difference between what goes on on the field verses real life where you don’t hit people, take what isn’t yours, have sex with unconscious girls and video tape it or fun, etc.

Allahver Fist – you remind me that I have a confession to make. Back when that horrible story originally was posted here, you made the comment along the lines of “What she didn’t mind the train, just had a problem with the frosty?” because the first police report gave the impression she was only pressing charges against the the last guy- I laughed because I got the same imrpession you did. Only when you got smacked down by other posters did I go back and read the second police report and see that she was pressing charges against them all. So, I wanted to stand up for you, but one of the folks giving you massive shit was TCOAN and I’ll gladly be a coward before facing her wrath. Yes sirree, if she’s the Crack of Doom in the Lord of Rings and I’m Frodo with the Ring, you can count on Middle Earth being pretty fucked. Sorry man.

Yeah, Tommy got mad, but do you think he is going to revoke the P&C’s credentials? That story was a hatchet job, and Tommy had the right to put Williams in his place.
As for the bruises, he does have 100 lbs on her. I would imagine it would not take much for him, while forcibly removing her from his property, to do some damage.
