That was some of the ugliest running I’ve seen since I volunteered at the Special Olympics. But, by way of encouragement, you could have put up 225lbs with a bit of coaching. I went through a session with a trainer and added something on the order of 25lbs to my max in an hour. Of course, I was playing semi-pro football and lifting four days a week at the time, so your (doughy, pale) mileage may vary.

It’s true, my initial 6.16 pales in comparison to Spencer’s blazing 6.09.

As I told him, this means should I ever line up outside to cover him I can’t bite on the pump for fear of the resulting go.
