We discussed this at length before posting the poll, and came to the conclusion that Pete Carroll’s beauty is like Godwin’s Law–invoke it and the argument’s over. He is removed from this discussion because he is removed from us, existing on a higher plane of unicorns and everlasting muscle tone.

Don’t worry Holly, since UT plays UCLA this year I’m sure they will have plenty of venom to spit at you by the time the season rolls around. Every UCLA opponent gets plenty.

And if you were accepted to USC and USC’s incoming freshmen do better on their standardized tests than UCLA’s incoming freshmen, that just means that you must have been one of UT’s ten students.

#18: They’re not even picking on UCLA (in fact, SMQ thought their predictions for this year were laughably pessimistic); they’re just picking on the crazies who demanded nothing short of perfection from Dorrell and are now expecting losses to teams that even Notre Dame last year shouldn’t have lost to. The most hilarious thing over there in the BN monkey cage today was the conclusion that SMQ, Orson and King are picking on UCLA because they are jealous.

Since according to them there are not 10 students at Southern MIss, Florida, or Georgia who wouldn’t rather be at UCLA and there are not 10 students at those schools who could get into UCLA.

Now THAT is classic comedy!
