Last time I saw the cheetahs at the national zoo, they were whistling and chirping at one another because they’d all been given frozen rabbits to eat. That takes the high-threat vibe down a notch, to be honest, and maybe that’s why people don’t take SC’s secondary all that seriously.

Coach: “You did play tailback. I fulfilled my promise and kept my word. Now you will play linebacker.I am sure you will be great..now run along now…”
and parents wouldnt dare tell the coach what position their son should play either

Coop, again you go with the “UGA should have known” stuff.

You think we should have just made assumptions about a recruit’s true intentions or what’s really the best position for a kid despite statements from the kid himself and the kid’s coach.

Doesn’t quite work that way. Being upfront with recruits has seen us lose some bigtime players, but it’s been a pretty successful strategy for CMR so far, wouldn’t you say?

It would have been more impressive he would have killed that alligator with tennis shoe instead of a shovel….or barehanded, opening the gators jaws til they broke, King Kong style…only problem the gator was less than 2 ft long….looks like he will need more than a shovel to whack Tebow…..i think a crowbar would only make Tebow angry…and you wouldnt want to see him angry………

I’m in Paris for work at the moment but I was still at the gym the this morning and boy did I impress myself with those 10kg dumbells. (This, btw, is a “well-eqipped gym by Paris standards – sheesh, no wonder the rolled over in ‘40).

Nice to see Mack on the list. This promises to be the first and only positive referance to Cal in any context whatsoever this year. Although it is a cliche to note this their rennaissance under Tetford (which by historical standards has been quite impressive) was supported in large part by fine work from S&C Coach Krasinski.

I think Bailey, or Bailey’s coach or whomever is a better politician that you are giving them credit for.

You could look at that kid in high school and tell he was not going to be a LB at the next level, no matter whom he signed with.

Bailey was smart to keep Georgia “in the mix,” if AJ Harmon’s recruitment is any indication.

“Many of Hog Hammock’s residents have been surprised by the attention Bailey has received during the last year. Georgia coach Mark Richt and several Bulldogs assistants have visited the island. Bailey eliminated Georgia from consideration last week because of concerns the Bulldogs wouldn’t allow him to play linebacker in college”

We told him we’d put him at DE, so he eliminated us, only to go to Miami, who out him at….wait for it….DE.

@ 1 – Just because Chad Simmons tells you something over on Dawgvent does not make it true.

Because a Georgia kid never picks another school unless Georgia didn’t really offer him or the school that signed said kid did something unethical, dirty, and probably illegal to sign him, right?

Bailey’s story is very interesting. I believe he had to ride a ferry every day to get to school.

Interesting, since supposedly the reason we (UGA) lost Bailey is because we were one of the only schools that didn’t promise he would stay at linebacker.
