#32: I have to disagree about Texas’s, it’s not bad. (And there’s some similarity to “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”, but it’s not identical. At least, not to any version of it that I’ve heard.)

Wisconsin’s fight song is pretty good, as is Minnesota’s. Outside of the Big Ten and Notre Dame, I don’t know many of them (only the ones that get played every 10 seconds, and therefore suck).

Man. The economy must be getting strong in the South. Earlier this year it was 26 bucks just to meet a freshman player. Now the dollar is strong enough to make a fiver have a grip and grin with Bear?

It isn’t big time football, but this audience would appreciate Maine’s song. Contextually it jives with some properly righteous local pasttimes.

#40 — I know those alternate Michigan lyrics from when I was in law school at Duke (of all places — you know those crazy basketball rivalries).

SMU had comphrehensive lyrics for a much broader array of old SWC opponents’ fight songs — most of which are not repeatable and make me, now a mother, blush. But I still do enjoy the Texas Bites song. Just a sampling:

See the football team a-goin’, to SUCK on Bevo’s (ryhmes with song).

We have some alternate lyrics for the UM fight song where I’m from to….they go something like “Hail to those MotherF*@#ers, hail to those big c@#ksuckers, hail hail to Michigan, the cesspool of the West.” And that’s just the first time through, there are about 4 different verses.

As a fan of a craptastic fight song, I view myself as neutral.

Tenn really does have the best fight song. If the same song was for, say, UCLA, everyone would say it’s the best. It is just because its “tennessee” that people don’t like it.

OU, OSU, UF, FSU: pedistration. Nothing special. Exactly like 50 other fight songs in quality.

KSU Powercat song blows them all away.

#30 – Auburn doesn’t do the Diddy “Go ____” like UF and Bama does. I don’t think UGA does it either.

And yes those are Golden Flakes. I paid my 5 bucks and got a contact drunk you wouldn’t believe.

I apologize for referencing the wrong school.

Gosh, we miss SMU. Now we only have OU for entertainment. And I must say, OU is nothing compared to the shenanigans of the SMU football program.
