Well, all the argument about the appropriate image for a statue isn’t a problem.

Just hop on over to the School of Medicine (Proctology Department) for the biggest likeness they have in their files.

I think the NCAA should have some type of tribute to coaches, kinda like the new and improved Pirates of the Caribbean….everyone would load up on boat and go back thru time floatin thru the various lockerooms and stadiums of great animatronic coaches past and present….there, I threw the idea out there, now run with it….and the highlight would be Woody Hayes animatronically punching people as they rode by, while breathing fire…….the possibilities are endless…..doesnt Disney own ESPN anyway? Make it happen…..Coach O and Mike Leach would actually fit in dressed as pirates or cajuns

Hell yes Woody should have a statue! OSU was wrong to fire Him in the first place. I think he should have gotten a raise. I watched that game and Woody’s shot was the hardest hit OSU delivered that night.

Though I believe that Woody Hayes was a candidate for Antichrist Among Us, I have to say that I am quite disappointed in the Bucknuts for not being able to pull this off.

(There may be a fear of prankalicious goodness at work. But then again, I also thought it was funny to “fix” the name of Lunt Hall.)

I was inclined for a moment to donate, but since I couldn’t be bothered to donate for the recasting of Sparty (the statue, not the caricature), I figure The Ohio State Nation can manage this without my help.

Woody has a stadium named after him. My high school alma mater was his first head coaching job. New Philadelphia, OH and the stadium is Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium (b/c we are the Fighting Quakers).
