#11 I spent 15 minutes thinking about that video. Should I not be laughing at it since its about a dude's dead uncle? Or has his uncle yet to die?

Haha, that quote proves once again that Weis is in fact a genius... a PR genius. Saying things like he could win, but he's hamstrung because he just can't recruit those lowlifes all the other elite programs do is the kind of stuff NDelusional types just love to lap up.

Seriously, this is the real reason Davie and Willingham are so hated among the Domers, they simply refused to pander to the fanbase's notion of moral superiority over the rest of college football. I don' t think the fans are even necessarily consciously aware of it, but how else can it be explained when Weis is beloved and Davieham are loathed, when they have nearly identical W/L records? Because Weis "gets it" (LOL).

Now, part of being a successful D-1 college coach involves a certain amount of telling the fans what they want to hear, but at ND it is absolutely vital for survival, hence the ridiculous statements. As long as Weis wins just enough, he'll be there as long as he wants to be.

In agreeance with #43. Just send it to me via the book of face.
And in case you were wondering, I've wasted 5 hours playing today. My last final ended @ 930, I was playing at 11...

BTW, I'm undecided on the wheel, I might prefer the nunchuk method. Discuss.

I think you can say that every coach has made remarks at an alumni event to get the attended audience a show. While I would hope that Charlie would totally recruit more thugs, (By thugs I mean black guys with tat's and rows, hopefully leaning towards the U) the school does have an image of doing things the right way.

I would say that the Travis Thomas clip is a BS attempt to show that ND are thugs. No one of us was on the field and not one of us know what could have been said or done on previous plays.

All the ND haters need to just relax and understand that this is no different than other coaches saying beat those people from across the sate, blah blah blah. If you think this was a racist statement you are flat out wrong.

Let's just go back to the ole' traditional bowl game system. If some half-assed collective (like the media) wants to crown a champion to sell more papers/magazines, bump TV/radio ratings, or increase webpage hits....fine, declare your champion and present your crystal crown of uberness.

As though some candyass journalist in Anytown USA has any business whatsoever "ranking" teams he's NEVER EVEN WATCHED! The only way we could ever have a legitamate tournament is if the "rankings" were removed from the equation...and they used conference champions.

Thug is a code word that the media can use to describe a person without using a particularly offensive word. Can anybody name any white thugs in college football past or present? Lets see...Ken Dorsey? Dan Morgan? Rocky Calmus? No? Leinart? Tebow? Weinke? No. The code word Thug is used, when the player is black. The national media jumped to conclusions when Sean Taylor was murdered. They said it might have been payback, or something. You know, cause Sean Taylor was a thug, right? He had dreads! He played at the U, he's an absolute menace on the field. No, Sean Taylor wasn't a thug, he was the son of the chief of police, a husband, and a father. And he died protecting his wife and child in the bedroom of his own home, that had been invaded by real thugs. Not student athletes.
