For all the arm chair quarterbacks out there. The defensive call was cover 2. I and Todd Light as the corners, had the short flats and the safeties had the deep halves. My job was to be underneath and the safeties over the top. I DID not get burned. The sad part of that game was the defensive call. We should have been in cover 4 or cover 3 instead of cover 2.
So, don’t bash my name. As a three year starter at ND, I had my share of bad plays but that was not one of them. Also wanted to point out, I started 3 years at ND, drafted into the NFL and played in the NFL. What did you do?
