YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW? REALLY?
You don’t need to know that. What? Whatever. Fans don’t need to know. Anything.
I thought we could get through this without this stuff without an issue. But if you really wanna know how we’re gonna deal with it? I mean, really? Fine. I’ll let you know how we’re gonna deal with it.
—John Parker Wilson’s gonna go to Bonnaroo. And when he does, he’s gonna get the bad acid. We’ll call it Lyme disease and get him a medical exemption. Don’t ask me where we got the idea. You don’t need to know that, either.
—Jimmy Johns will leave to pursue a religious calling. He’s gonna go find a trust fund in his name for $250K in Buenos Aires and then scream, “Praise Jesus!” The trick is: he’s got to walk there. It’ll take him years, but we’re all about the process here at Alabama. I told Jimmy to watch the crocodiles in the Isthmus of Panama. He’s a good kid. He might make it.
—I will pit two of Shula’s signees against each other, and place both in a circle. The circle will be outlined in flames. Two shall enter; none shall leave. Because I’m going to have a sniper shoot the winner, and it’s all gonna happen in slow motion, because this is MY PRISON MOVIE, I’M THE WARDEN, AND YOU’RE ALL DANCING NANCIES IN MY SHAWSHANK SCRIPT!!!!
I also have an announcement, yes, an announcement everyone: there is a horde of killer bees loose on campus, and they’re following Leigh Tiffin around campus. Why he’s covered with honey, I don’t know. That’s why I returned to the college game: for young people, and the crazy things they do, like walking in front of a masked man carring a honey sprayer and a basket full of killer bees on campus and not thinking, “Oh, my, what’s a man doing with a mask on and a gun that sprays honey and a basket labeled “KILLER BEES”, nope not suspicious at all.” Gotta love that about college kids.
I believe that takes care of five scholarships right there. I mean, we’re praying for Leigh to recover.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I don’t have time for this shit.

How many divorces has Sara Evans had? And which Tennis player did Jay’s wife leave him for, again? You obviously haven’t seen Kirk’s wife.

Yet its the only state that can offer you a job it appears with your many college degrees.
and wow, your ex-players can work on ESPN. So can Sean Salisbury. No one gives a fuck. Kirk is an apple of Erin Andrews eye, but can’t have her. Jay Barker is fucking Sara Evans. I rather be Barker.
Glad to see that you watch American Idol. And here is to hoping you stay around Birmingham.

I love it, random Buckeye fan misuses can not and random Alabama fan with a huge inferiority complex goes out of his way to point it out and then goes on to claim that Ohio’s educational system is “no better” than Alabama’s. That is hilarious.
Am I the only one who remembers that Craig “Fricking” Krenzel was a Molecular Genetics major taking 700 level courses his Junior season? Does Alabama even offer that major?
Here’s how it works. As the starting QB for a National Championship team at Alabama you get to have the illustrious career of being a local sports radio host in Birmingham. Kirk Herbstreit on the other hand, was a crappy QB who lost to Michigan 3 times if I remember correctly, yet he’s the face of ESPN Gameday and the apple of Erin Andrew’s eye.
Robert Smith, Eddie George, etc., all have great post football careers in the national media. Obviously the education they received at Ohio State had nothing to do with that.
But Alabama does have Bo Bice, the Velvet Teddybear, and Talyor Hicks…Soul Patrol!!!!!!!!!
Oh and look up the crime statistics and the murder rates….Birmingham is one of the worst in the country…definitely in the top 5.
This state is a shit hole, just admit that and move on. Everyone in the entire country laughs at Alabama and the people from Alabama…that’s just the way it is. Deal with it.

The two most pertinent examples of “yankee” from the OED are as follows:
1825 J. NEAL Bro. Jonathan i. I. 13 He was a Yankee, the very character of whom is, that he can ‘turn his hand’, as he says, ‘to any thing’. 1891 DUNCAN Amer. Girl in London 23 The Yankees are the New Englanders,..the name would once have been taken as an insult by a Southerner.
Mr. TAFKastOSUB is neither from New England, nor can he ‘turn his hand to any thing.’ As such, Mr. TAFKastOSUB is in fact not a Yankee, and we true Yankees would be much obliged if you’d stop associating him with us.

Man, tafkatosu@columbusub, you know once tOSU gets beat by USCw, all bets are off as far as braggin for anytime in the future…being as a PAC-10 team whacks you, thus saving you from getting beaten a 3RD time in the BCS Championship by Georgia this year— but if ya happen to luck up and keep Terrell “The Terrorist” Pryor out of jail-(tOSU’s Perriloux Version 2.0), you will have to face another SEC defeat on a National stage in front of millions of people…..again…..then of course the next year Florida will beat ya, then the next year Alabama—National Champs in 2011….35-10 over tSOU, the 5th loss in a row to a SEC team…….good luck with the Illini…
The thing with tOSU-they have great individual talent at spots, but when they match up with someone with equal or better talent, they fold. Alabama has only had maybe at best 3 guys on either side of the ball at most the past 6 yrs at times to go to the next level, once we get at least 5 or so guys on each side at NFL caliber, then we will compete….we are about 3 recruiting classes away from a SEC championship that will put us automatically in the BCS, unless the tOSU wants to bust that up for a micro playoff to get away from the SEC…..just sayin…..last 2 years aint been pretty, and I kinda feel sorry for tOSU……two words for Auburn–Parole Tide—-Auburn will be saying that after the prison raping they will get in Bryant Denny Stadium in November….better get an answer for Hulio Jones quick

# 60. tOSU is 0 for 3 vs Alabama all time
and for the record Bama is 4-1-1 in the Rose Bowl, 4-4 in the Orange Bowl, 8-4 in the Sugar Bowl, and 0-1 in the Fiesta Bowl.
Thats an aggregate score of 16-10-1 all times in “BCS” bowls.
also, congratulations on your 5 national championships, and of course you know Bama has 12.

I used to sell online degrees for the “university” of phoenix, “online campus”
my consistent violation of “FERPA regs” always lead to poor quality scores. however lying to people and getting them to drop 18 large an AA degree kept me paid..

TAFKastOSUB, in your post’s context, you did misspell “cannot,” not that I really care that much. I was simply pointing out the fact that you were acting as if you were above us “rednecks” (again, not “red necks”), when in actuality, neither you nor the state of Ohio is superior to the state of Alabama. And yes, Ohio State has been a more successful program than Alabama recently, but the Tide still has Ohio State beat in tradition and history, as well as the head-to-head series. As far as Saban, he will win and win big. It is inevitable. This is really getting to you, isn’t it? Maybe it’s time you left the state. Carpetbagger.

wow, TAFKastOSUB calling some arrogant is great.
No you did not not misspell “can not” but like most of your posts it was not used in the right context. That or Reggie Germany said it was OK to spell it that way.
The fine people of Oxford dictionary have this to say:
Both cannot and can not are acceptable spellings, but the first is much more usual. You would use can not when the ‘not’ forms part of another construction such as ‘not only’
But yes Saban wants to leave, he is no good, he is taking our money, the state of Alabama is terrible. The moment you take your mouth off of Maurice Clarett’s dick and stop being a bitch will be a nice moment.

At least we bothered to show up for our one BCS game. Ohio St. got stomped like a klan member at a black panther party.
Also, considering the sess pools that Cleveland and Columbus have become (Hey, we’re almost as bad as Detroilet!), I wouldn’t bring up the crime in B’ham, which is amateurish compared to your pro level shit. Crime is so bad in Ohio that it even spreads to your football teams (Re: Bengals).

“Can not” is not a misspelling you arrogant cock-sucker.
Next you’ll be telling me that shouldnot, couldnot, and wouldnot are all better than should not, could not ,and would not, since clearly, should not can be shouldn’t, could not can be couldn’t, and would not can be wouldn’t…I mean, how is can, can’t, and can not any different???
And while you are dazzling us with your brilliance, enlighten me as to how being 0-1 all-time in BCS bowls, being Auburn’s bitch, nearly getting the death penalty for cheating, and having the highest paid coaching staff in the country yet still going 6-6 is better than being 4-2 in BCS bowl games with a 14-0 BCS NC and two other appearances…
Alabama despite all its tradition and all of the fury of an entire state that has nothing to do but support one sport, still hasn’t been able to do shit in the BCS era, except lose to Michigan in the Orange Bowl.
So if losing the National Championship game 2 years in a row in your eyes is the worst thing for a program, what is going 6-6 and losing to Oklahoma State? Or hiring a $32M asshole who oversigns recruiting classes and is doing everything he possibly can to keep from having to leave Alabama under the cover of darkness for him and his family’s safety? I call it desperate, you probably call it “The Process.”

Hey TAFKastOSUB, it is acceptable if misspelling words is acceptable. Of course, that probably is acceptable to a supporter of tOSU, the proverbial “close, but no cigar” school. The Buckeyes have almost beaten an SEC team, and they almost won the last two national titles, just as you almost spelled cannot correctly. Of course I know that this is a blog, and thus proper grammar is not needed. I just found it thoroughly amusing that some pretentious Yankee was lambasting the state of Alabama, yet this same snob cannot seem to make a post without misspelling words. Also, what is your excuse for misspelling redneck? You are a joke.

Hey dickhead, since when is “can not” an incorrect spelling of cannot? WTF? I’m not an English professor, in fact, writing and proper grammar are not my strong suit, but I think I know enough to know that “cannot” and “can not” are both acceptable uses/spellings. And since when are blog forums a grammar course? Yes, I have a few college degrees, and I passed a few written composition courses in my day, but I am no wordsmith or grammar wiz. Guilty as charged…still doesn’t change the fact that Alabama is fucked up and about back-ass-ackwards as anything I have ever seen. And yes I made that up.
The Columbia Guide to Standard American English seems to agree with me that, while “can not” is not exactly Formal, it is acceptable.
