Yeah, it had to be grounds crews or something. I know a degree isn’t required for that job, but I have a hard time believe a guy who graduated in 3 years flat is going to mis-spell his own name.

Right – There are two proper spellings, as anyone knows: “Antwan” or “Ontiwuan.” Atnoine is not close.

I wish I could have been there to see Saban’s face the moment they unveiled the plaque. He probably had the person responsible sodomized with a log of Kodiak.

Too bad for Antoine Caldwell, though. He’s a good kid (overlooking a minor textbook mistake) and deserved better. Thing is, he’ll be captain again this year and will have his name engraved before the 2009 A-Day game. Maybe they’ll F’ it up again..

Cement is an ingredient in concrete. This is a concrete, not cement, sidewalk. There are no cement buildings, columns, floors, etc. either. Concrete, every one of them.

Not to say that the incident isn’t laugh worthy, because it totally is, but it wasn’t Caldwell himself that did it, it was, I’m sure, a facilities worker for the school made the mistake, who isn’t required to have much education to work there and form concrete. Caldwell is a fairly smart guy (insert textbook joke here). If memory serves he is graduating this summer and will be in grad school next season as he works toward earning the Remington Trophy. He made a poor choice last year but all in all he is a good egg – hence the captain award. A 60-million dollar man comparison isn’t really relative. Funny maybe, but not relative.

Speaking of which, I took fencing at Florida…best. class. evar…I started going out with one classmate hottie, then switched to another…the first one was so pissed off she nearly killed me…wouldn’t stop with the foil even after she kicked my ass. She even nailed me as I walked off the mat in defeat. Amazing how a sword in the hand of a woman scorned can bring out questionable character traits…yeah, I deserved it…
