FULMER CUP: MISSOURI POUNCES FORWARD
Missouri lineman Austin Wuebbels deserves some credit, at least. Though caught with marijuana, a pipe, and beer in the car at 3 in the morning this Sunday, how did our man do on the sobriety test administered to him at the jail after his arrest?
After he was taken to the police station, Wuebbels successfully passed a sobriety test.

Give it up! He failed the possession exam, but THAT’S AN A IN SOBRIETY, PEOPLE!
Wuebbels was about to get off with merely a warning when police noticed him grabbing at something under the dash, a classic example of not living the smooth, baby. Police then found the weed, the pipe, and the booze in the car, presumably factors in why anyone would end up awake and speeding around a smallish town in Missouri at three in the morning. Wuebbels ended up charged with suspicion of possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and false identification, all misdemeanors.
Even with the misdemeanor tag, that’s four points for the Missouri Tigers, who with three point-heavy arrests have tallied 20 points before the end of the spring semester in taking the lead in the Fulmer Cup. And for that, they deserve shame-claps a-plenty from the audience.

And to think that some commenter actually said yesterday that Mizzou might not have anything left in the tank after their fast start. Looks like at least a few players have gotten the message that this is a marathon, not a sprint.

I played golf with a current Mizzou player over their break. I asked him if they could win the Fulmer Cup. He said that it wasn’t a goal, but he wouldn’t promise that future incidents couldn’t occur.
At least they are aware of the lead and someone is working to maintain it!

I’m always curious as to if some coaches or players know about this thing.
Makes you curious about if some of the points are padding.

@AUGrad,
That’s good stuff, what kind of trophy goes along with that? There has to be some recruiting champ replica tophy one can purchase.
Threadjack#2,
Nick Saban is not happy about you inquiring on how he plans on meeting the 85 scholarship limit and he thinks you should mind your own damn business.

I figured since you enjoyed the snippet given on the news..you might like to see the totality of the exchange…Rapport asked the question, and it seems as if Saban was not as much of a dick as the clip made out him to be.

#8…to take it a step further, i’m starting to wonder is cops in these college towns are into the standings as well. it seems like they’re really trying harder these days. esp when you see some of these big time, multiple players arrests go from 40 points down to single digits when all is said an done, a la penn state. i like the effort coppers. every ounce of effort you put on football players means i’m less likely to get busted.

I, for one, am impressed with the dedication and effort these young men are putting into this Fulmer Cup challenge. It is apparent that a team in the running isn’t just gonna give up their lead without a fight…which, fortuitously, may bring more points…but its the creativity…theft of a cop’s ticket book, the grabbing of the contraband when you’re almost let go, the running with a machete with intent to kill frat-boys…all these things make the FC more than an internet award, man, this is life as its meant to be lived!

Illinois managed to get 11 points for 1 player in one incident …. he shot a gun in the air … I think they penalized him 5 points a shot, and another point just for the hell of it, while this Mizzou clown gets 4 total for what he did.
How many Mizzou or Iowa players have been arrested in this time frame?
