Hey! There's no such thing as a yellow tailed gator! Salvaged from the scrap heap of the past by reader Jon, Coach JR delivers his most compelling performance as a pitchman in this ad for Osmose Yella Wood. The jungle clearly brings out the best in the coach:

And if you don't believe the J.R. Ewing/ Steve Spurrier comparison Kanu's been trying to convince us of for years, then watch this and tell us you couldn't see this scene working just as well with a visor and Phil Fulmer in the Cliff Barnes role.

I have mentioned this ad before in your hallowed annals…simply the finest non-sideline work in SOS’s storied cinematic past. “The Yalla-tail Gator” lives on in the lives of any Spurrier-o-phile as our former leader appearing as a human being other than the deity of reality.

Kudos, Orson, and dammit, I hate to be positively generous, but make it 1000 wet, dirty tanqueray martinis for you, sir.

I’ve never seen that yellow wood ad. Damn sure wish we had Spurrier in his prime, instead of watching him run it up on us.

- Urban has only been successful 50% of the time against us. Spurrier was damn near perfect in running it up against us. But yeah, next year Urban’s success rate against up will likely increase to 66%, then 75%, then well you get the point.
