Win forever, man. Scott Wolf may have the definitive story explaining why Pete Carroll will never leave USC: in an interview with the Redskins in January, Carroll requested an $8 million salary. Kenneth Page, also winning forever. Clemson commit Kenneth Page–or at least everyone says that’s Kenneth Page–would like you, dear reader, to picture him rollin’, as he posted this pic of himself on his MySpace page and then very promptly removed it:
Brahsome has more details, but we’re sure that this can all be explained. We didn’t say the explanation would be pretty, but we’re sure there is one. Jimmy Clausen has bulked up over the offseason in hope of weathering hits this year. Unfortunately, there are no biceps, triceps, cloits, or dloits on your skull. Damn you, robot overlords. Urban Meyer, neo-Luddite but also a text-messaging fiend, complains about team chemistry in the iPod generation: “Throw your iPod on, come in [to the locker room] bopping your head. Put on your equipment, go out to practice,” Meyer said. “Come in and throw on your iPod, punching your cell phone, text people and leave. How are you going to develop any chemistry on the team? “You see it every day. Just go walk on campus. You see these white things stuck in peoples’ ears, and that means, ‘I don’t have to talk to you.’ “ But coach: how else are they going to talk to you? You wooed them this way, and now you’re complaining about it, which has us ROTFLOAO, OMG!!!111 We’d love to talk about it, but we’ve got some twittering to do real fast here, and a TF2 squad practice on XBox Live in 30. TTYL. |

Re: I can clear this up.
——————————————————————————–
Kenneth was recently out in California as one of five finalists for the Alfred M. Watkins Memorial Scholarship. Both his father and mother came along and both have relatives that live in California. They got to see one of his uncles right before he passed away a week later. They also got to see his great uncle on his father’s side of the family. This uncle is a very, very wealthy man. He owns nine ATMs and realized two were empty and low were very low. So they went to the bank that morning to get money to fill them up with. Kenneth said he had never seen that much money before so he took a picture with it. He wants to reassure everyone that yes, he didn’t take a single cent or keep a single cent of it.
Someone copied this picture off of Page’s facebook and tried to spin it into something that it wasn’t.
Bacon added this - “It is a shame when people want to tear down a kid who is a good Christian kid and a great role-model for other student-athletes, but that is the society we unfortunately live in today”

Wow terrible photoshop job on the Clausen.
You can even see the circle of the tool they used on his left bicep, terrible.

As a Clemson fan, I am embarrassed that the money pictured wasn’t $100 bills. How are we going to compete with the $EC for recruits with $50s or $20s? I better double my donation.

maskedavenger- You are most definitely confused. I believe the word you are looking for is “aspersions”.
YOU were the douchebag all along. Douchebag.

All Page is guilty of is bad judgment.
Having stacks of cash is not illegal, last time I checked.
Now, I am curious as to how he came about that money, but given Page’s high school alma mater, you know those who live in the nice area of Cola, if you live in Cola instead of Irmo, attend AC Flora if they don’t attend Heathwood, Hammond, Cardinal Newman, etc…
Mr. Page easily gets the benefit of the doubt.
Anyone who argues otherwise, and tries to compare actual charged and convicted crimes versus someone having stacks of cash…
is making a pathetic attempt at grasping for those straws in question.

Would this be a good time to remind everyone of the claim hotly contested by Tiger fans that many rules and laws are broken quietly in Clemson all the time?

I refuse to believe that something could happen under the watch of such a good Christian man. Tommy Bowden is beyond reproach, as are all of his players.
Clearly, this is just a misunderstanding. Perhaps he is just returning Ray Ray’s “scholarship” money back to Tommy.

The best thing about that list - Jack Siedlecki had a better team than Weiss.

I think its safe to say that the Clausen picture is a very bad photoshop job. Someone clearly took a picture from last year’s spring game and added some flech-colored pixels to Jimmy’s biceps and the back of his neck. Look at the base of his neck and just below his left bicep to see the smudging.

Yes, maskedavenger, it is “great theater”. We are all anxiously awaiting the outcome of this dramatic turn of events. Unbelievable that Boren’s father played under Bo. Unbelievable.
Douchebag.

Move along, folks, nothing to see here. Clearly Mr. Page was on his way to Tommy Bowden’s church to make a charitable donation. Is that so wrong?

I don’t know… looks like Death Valley 2 in the background of Page’s photo.
On a side note… What Coop, a Clemson story and you have nothing to say? Go figure!

That is definitely the pro Michigan side of the story…………………when was it the Mr. Boren “underachieved”? Was it when he played as a freshman and started as a sophomore? When exactly did this cream-puff start sucking so bad?

I belive the Boren issue has more to do with less pizza, rather than “family values” as he stated. Seems like everyone else on the team is on board with Barwis(he is a cage fighter), except fat, slow , underachieving linemen. They were all excited when they heard about the chocolate milk after workouts, they just looked past what it took to get the milk.

Whether you want him or not, it is great theater that a UM player is taking out a personal ad in the Dispatch seeking an OSU scholarship. And the fact that his dad was a captain (I think) under Bo adds to the intrigue.

I see a MAC future in young Mr. Boren, or DII for instant gratification. I bet Jimmy Clausen has already texted Boren, “Hey Buddy!”.
