PRYOR EMBRACES POISONOUS NUT
This year’s supermodel opts for the Buckeyes: Terrelle Pryor chooses tOSU over Michigan and Penn State.

We’re sure everyone will take this in a mature and reasonable fashion on both sides. Pryor said the things he was looking forward to most were the friendships he could make in college, the outstanding community in Columbus, and losing the national title game in two years to an SEC team who blows them out of the building sometime in the middle of the third quarter.

Ahhh yes, that magic DickRod recruiting touch. Surely with the history and prestige of the Maze and Blue he would get his tenure of a glorius start by nabbing the Patient One. What a satisfying triumph this must be.

Uh oh, what will Rich Rod do now? Does he know how to coach a traditional offense? I predict a difficult future for Michigan…. But then again, none of that matters because everyone in the Big-11 sucks and will surely bow down to the Pac-10 and SEC in the bowls.

In dee face! It will be fun beating Michigan for another 4 straight years. How does Mallet feel now? He could have run the RRod spread like Texas Tech runs it instead he will sit at Ark. and will never pan out. Why doesn’t RRod go after appalachian st’s qb that lit UM up last year? He wouldn’t have to transfer and has a bigger arm than Pat White?

I find it extremely interesting that Pryor waited until after his last basketball game, which just happened to take place in the state championship game at Penn State…is it really that hard to figure out that the reason he has been waiting has been because he did not want to have to face the friendly and courteous fans of Pee State?
Mark it down…the arrival of Pryor at Ohio State will have a similar impact as Tommy Frazier at Nebraska…Nebraska lost 8 or 9 bowl games in a row, a few of them with the NC on the line, before Frazier arrived, in his 4 years they won 3 NCs.
For some reason I think Pryor will put Ohio State over the hump.

Jesus Christ, for the last time, Rodriguez didn’t chase him off. He allegedly nearly transferred before the season even started last year. He might have transferred even if Carr had stayed. The players all seemed to think Mallett was a dick. Rodriguez talked to him several times and it was clear Mallett had no desire to stay to even find out if he could work out with Rodriguez and the new offense.
The guy who will most likely start this year was a 4*, and he’s supposed to be a little more mobile than Mallett. It’s not like it was Mallett and a bunch of 2*s. Between putting in a new system and losing so many guys no one really expects them to be awesome this year, but the idea that Mallett packing it in and leaving severely hurts them just seems silly. It wasn’t like he played all that well last year (though he was better than the Emu; of course, his offensive line and receivers were also clearly superior to what the Emu was working with).

#12: Nebraska was in the middle of making wholesale changes to the program when they picked Tommie Frazier up. Unless Jim Tressel is actually fixing problems that have been exposed with his team the last two years – as opposed to hoping he can just cover them up with more of Rivals’ shiny stars – Pryor is gonna be their Eric Crouch, not their Tommie Frazier. Another speedy QB trapped under the glass ceiling of a fundamentally “just okay” system.

Gee, Yinka, thanks for setting me straight there, with your baseless assumptions, but said in an authoritative, know-it-all tone. That makes them more important than the actual facts we know , which are:
No one knew Mallet was definitely transferring. But we know he did after Richie was hired. Mallet was a 5* pro-style QB with size and experience, and he will replaced by a 4* pro-style QB with no experience but a neat last name. And after that, the cupboard is bare. Meh, with it, the cupboard is bare as far as competing with the big boys. But, go ahead, insist people thought Mallet was a “dick” if that helps…

Excuse me while I whip this out says:
If tOSU makes it back to the show and is (most likely to be) facing another SEC team, can the entire SEC pitch in and buy Ohio State out of the game, and then the whole converence play a paper-rock-scissors tournament to decide who plays the other SEC team for the championship?
Or I guess we could all just not watch such SEC conference games as AU/FLA, FLA/LSU, AU/UA, GA/TN, etc, but instead DVR them and watch them all January and pretend it is our own little national championship trourney.
poor rest-of-the-NCAA…. maybe one day you will compete.
