Terrible shame. The weather in Orlando certainly doesn’t look oppressive at this point, so the notion of heatstroke doesn’t seem likely. It’s probably another instance where–sadly, cruelly, and unfairly, a healthy young man dies without warning. It’s exceedingly rare, of course–thousands of men take part in hundreds of practices like these in harsher conditions without dropping dead. But every so often, one does. It will probably be another unforeseeable, undiagnosed heart condition that did Ereck in. But that doesn’t make it one iota less heart-wrenching or depressing, and at this point all we can do is wish the family well in a time of immeasurable grief.

Please tell me your are a fan of any other school than Auburn.
A family has to bury their son and you make that heartless remark.
Swindle, what kind of show are you running here?

I’m all for controversial and tasteless humor, but I think you may have gone a few steps too far.

I cannot think of anything that could happen to a person that is any worse than burying a child. My sincere condolences to the family.

What’s worse – a random joke about death – or the feigned horror of the joke regarding someone none of us know.
It sucks for the family, and none of us wished it upon him. Death is a part of life, as is humor.
So, to correct #3, and join him in the cheap alligator handbag that is being Fed-Exed to hell as we speak, it was a death chart, not a depth chart.

#8 – I giggled a little bit, thus sending me on the train to hell as we speak.
There are some jokes that walk the line of good taste and some that cross said line. Let the beholder determine where these comments lie.
I think we can all agree on one thing though – dying young is fucking horrible. Prayers to his family, especially to his parents, because, having an aunt and uncle who lost a son, it is something one never gets over.

Note to readers: These comments aren’t humor. They are crass, juvenile comments that the authors would be ashamed to utter in public, but due to the anonymity allowed on a blog, they somehow feel they can write them here. Get you heads out of your third point of contact. Not every event requires a humorous spin.
Grow up.
Condolences to his family and friends and the fans of UCF.

Standing in the Burrito Brothers a few years ago, and upon hearing that a FSU player had just died in Spring Practice, I asked my friend ALOUD, “So, is he off the team, or just suspended?”. First thing I could think of.
Of course, as my mother continually fights for her life against cancer in present day, I tell her that we’re giving her cut rate blood transfusions from black people blood and that her hair will grow back in cornrows. She finds it funny too, so I’ll miss her when she falls into Hell.
Humor = Pain
