Check the rest of the reportage on The Sporting Blog. It was, in the Doomsday Machine sense, cool as hell.

Glad to see you made it out ok. CNN showed the streets around Phillips/CNN Center/Omni Hotel covered in debris. How was it leaving where you were parked?

The GWCC looks like it’d be fun to go swimming in if that water weren’t, you know, probably nasty as shit.
Anyway, I’m glad to see that when the Georgia Dome got a hole punched in the roof, they moved the whole shebangabang to Alexander Memorial Coliseum, a place with . . . a hole in the roof. w00t GaTech faciliteez!11!1!!!

EDSBS is the only site embracing the truthiness that once you realize you aren’t going to die and no one else did either, the aftermath of a minor tornado is pretty cool. Have fun at Tech.

ATL AU Tiger says:
As someone who had to sit in the middle of some very smug and obnoxious Kentucky fans in previous SEC tourneys in ATL, the fact that they couldn’t see their team play at all is somewhat amusing. Granted, the Kentucky fan they quoted in the AJC yesterday saying he was going to file a class action suit against the GA Dome on Monday for not allowing him to see the game at GA Tech is downright entertaining.

ATL AU: Yeah, get a few of them together around tournament time and their collective self-importance skyrockets. And viewing that video, the only thing running through my head was “Play with us, Danny, forever…and ever..and ever…”

We tried to copy Atlanta in Charlotte, as our fearless leaders are always chanting “world class city, world class city” but all we got was a crappy little leak off the side of the court on Saturday during the Clempson/Dook game.
BTW, Sat. ACC tix were being scalped at $250, Sunday at $500. Actual price is $70/session.
