I was there, too, as a 16-yr-old UF fan. That TE #82 still haunts my dreams.

It was the first game I remember experiencing the awful, nut-punch-stomachache certainty, as the clock winds down, that your team is going to blow the game in the end.

Thank you for that video- I just cried a little into my oatmeal.
There are a few things that you always remember in your life- I remember where I was when the Challenger blew up.
I remember watching the Berlin wall fall.
I remember what I was doing when I heard Kurt Cobain shot himself (didn’t care, but for some reason i remember).
I remember the brown recliner I was sitting in when Cal Ripken took victory laps during game 2,130.
I remember the hilarious plaid pants Bo Jackson was wearing when i caddied for him in a charity golf tourney (and Jim MacMahon played barefoot because they wouldn’t allow him to play in flip flops).
And i remember spraining my ankle while celebrating this catch in ‘94 at my friend’s house.
I liked the win in ‘01 better, as AU was unranked and the Gators were #1, and I was 1st row field level and made it onto ESPN getting arrested on the field after the game, but this game was pretty damned good…

As alluded before, Terry didn’t do too well at recruiting. Most of his success at Auburn were with the championship level players that the legendary Pat Dye had recruited and coached.

I’m one of the few Auburn fans who doesn’t hold a grudge against the guy. He’s got a good head for the game, writes fairly well, even coached well, but just didn’t reel in the talent as well as Pat Dye or Tommy Tuberville.

Thanks for the clip. It was almost as much fun as reviewing the Gators go “Teb0w-and-2″ versus Auburn.
