29 – I have a strange attraction to Stacey Dales.

I feel guilty about it because she played women’s basketball past the YMCA level, and I deem all women who play any sport other than tennis or field hockey, cue the dykes on spikes joke, to be the sort of lesbian you don’t see on Cinemax around 11 PM.

There appear to be several flaws in the above logic, but I am going to go with it until Stacey Dales arrives at my house to disprove my theory.

I think Perrilloux will likely be reinstated in time for fall practice, and I don’t question that he’s a talented kid. But do you really want a QB with gambling problems starting? I mean, that just seems a point shaving scandal waiting to happen.

Quinton- Indeed, he threw in the ‘indefinately suspended’ instead of ‘we took his scholarship and kicked him off the team.’ RP shows up against Auburn and Florida. Whether they win as a result is very disputable.

I just read the gist of Brian’s closing argument versus the Alabama bloggers.

Please, God, tell me that he was greatly exaggerating, the best kind of strawman is the Internet strawman where you wage wars from thousands of miles away, the Alabama folks’ position.

He summarizes the Capstone Report’s position as:

Scholarships are one year contracts. (true) If these kids don’t perform on the field, there is nothing requiring us to renew their scholarship. (technically, true) We don’t care whether they are 4th year juniors or 3rd year sophomores or…,

if they do not perform at a level to warrant a scholarship, then start paying your own way through school, and this is not up for debate because the NCAA never meant for scholarships to be four year agreements.

Honest to God, someone tell me that the Capstone Report did not write the above.
