I know this sounds terrible, and I am not saying that DUI’s are a good thing, but when it comes to a successful football program, this is something you like to see.

Yeatman was expected to be one of the best lacrosse players in the country this season. I think he won the national freshman of the year award last year.

Sadly, the ND lacrosse program has been vastly superior to its football counterpart over the past decade, and losing Yeatman is a far bigger hit to the Irish laxers than on the gridiron. Yeatman is a decent blocking TE, but not much of a receiving threat at this point.

From the sounds of it, Yeatman will be gone for the rest of the semester, at a minimum. That seems to be the precedent set by ND administration with the Rashon Powers-Neal DWI suspension in 2005 and the Kyle McAlarney (man, what a perfect ND name) suspension from the basketball team for MJ possession.

I dont know if its ever been addressed, but at what point to recruits begin to count towards Fulmer Cup? Being that its signing day and all, I would guess now…

Also there are two kinds of drunk irishmen, the lacrosse playing kind and the kind like tommy teirnan… the first being an unathletic stiff with a thing for chubby coaches, the second being an angry comic anyone outside the thickest gutter in Dublin can’t understand.
